"Okay, I have some things I want to say to you too."

Christine Quinn immediately stood up, picked up her bag, and walked out of the private room.

At the very end of the hallway, Christine entered the restroom and immediately took out her cellphone, dialing a number.

It was nighttime in Y City, and Skyler Jones had just finished showering and stepped out of the bathroom.

Hearing his phone vibrate, he took it out and saw that Christine was calling him. Eagerly, he answered, "Christine..."

"Oversky, are you asleep?"

"Not yet."

"I’m sorry for calling you so late..."

"It’s okay, I’m happy you called me." Leaning against the window, Skyler’s freshly showered face appeared even more gentle and elegant.

"Oversky, I don’t want any misunderstandings between us, so I want to confirm something with you..."

"What is it?"

"Jennifer Douglas isn’t worthy of your sympathy. That slap she got from mom was something she orchestrated herself; she’s staging it all just to win your pity."

Listening to Christine, Skyler’s excited eyes dimmed slightly, his breath carried a hint of fatigue, "You’ve been thinking about this issue since you were in New York?"

"If it wasn’t for her, we wouldn’t have had any rift between us... She knows the feelings we share are solid, breaking them with force is impossible, so she chose to retreat as a form of advance, pretending to be kind in front of you to win your sympathy."

Jennifer quickly squatted down, supporting Christine, "Miss Quinn, Miss Quinn, are you alright?"

Christine leaned against Jennifer, weakly saying, "I... My heart hurts so much..."

Jennifer knew about Christine’s heart condition, and became very anxious, "Do you have medicine? Or..."

Christine tightly clutched her chest, hoarsely saying, "Call someone, send me to the hospital..."

Christine placed the phone back into the drawer.

To Christine’s surprise, Jennifer soon returned, but she was alone...

Not sending her to the hospital immediately but pretending with fake calls here, Christine couldn’t help but curse inwardly.

Jennifer calmly asked the staff, "Have the paramedics arrived?"

"Yes, they’re on the way."

Upon hearing this, Christine’s heart trembled, and she slowly opened her eyes.

Seeing Christine awake, Jennifer was overjoyed, "Miss Quinn, you’re awake?"
