Chapter 34: System Shop

"Yes," Lucien said, and immediately the screen exploded with notifications.

Then a final notification appeared.

[WARNING] Lucifer’s Crimson Authority identified, Lucifer’s Sovereign Throne identified, Owner: Lucifer, Status: Lost Relics.

Lucien frowned. "Lucifer’s relics? Why would they be inside the system?" but before he could think further, a violent pain erupted throughout his body and his HP began dropping.

150,000... 149,000... 148,000... The artifact conflict was accelerating, time was running out, so Lucien immediately exited the system.

---

Back inside the Student Council Room, his eyes suddenly opened and BOOM!! A crimson aura exploded from his body as the entire room shook, tables shattered, windows cracked, even the magical barriers protecting the council chamber trembled.

Nyx instantly stood up, and although a blindfold covered her eyes, she could perceive energy through soul vision, and what she sensed left her speechless.

"...Impossible," she whispered, because the power flooding from Lucien’s soul had increased dramatically, far beyond what it had been before.

Sari stumbled backward. "What did he do!?" but no one answered, because none of them knew.

Lucien slowly raised both hands and a sphere of crimson energy formed between his palms.

At first it was small, then it grew and grew and grew, the pressure became so intense that the room itself began to distort, the crimson sphere pulsing like a second heart.

Nyx could feel terrifying power compressed inside it, then Lucien brought his hands together.

CLAP!

The sphere shattered, the energy exploded inward instead of outward, and everything vanished into his body.

Then everywhere got silent, for several seconds nobody moved, then a deep breath echoed throughout the room as the unconscious Dominion body opened its eyes. Darkness flickered within them, but this time there was intelligence behind it, awareness, control.

The Dominion side slowly sat up and smiled. He threw his head back, letting out a long, deep, and unburdened breath of cold air, his pitch-black sclera glowing with the untamed majesty of a true king. The first thing he said was. "Well... that was unpleasant."

Here’s your edited version with smoother flow, fewer full stops, and dialogue grouped naturally:

---

The Student Council room was completely silent as everyone was staring at Lucien.

Sari was the first to break the silence. "Okay, I’m done pretending this is normal," she said, pointing at him. "What did you do?"

Dahlia immediately nodded. "Seriously, the artifact was unstable, the dominion one was going rogue, you sit down for a few minutes and suddenly everything is fixed?"

Nyx folded her arms, and even through her blindfold her attention was entirely focused on Lucien. "Explain."

Lucien scratched his cheek. "Well... it isn’t that complicated," and the three girls stared at him.

"It sounds very complicated," Dahlia said.

Lucien chuckled. "Fine," he leaned back slightly. "I have a source for my powers," and nobody looked surprised, because at this point they had long suspected Lucien was hiding something.

Sari frowned. "What kind of source?"

Lucien shook his head. "Well a thing in me that grants me abilities," and immediately three irritated expressions appeared, so he wisely decided not to push his luck. "What matters is that the source granted me the ability to control the artifact."

Nyx’s expression changed slightly. "Control it?"

Lucien smiled. "Yes I’m the one controlling it," and the room became quiet.

Sari blinked. "Meaning?"

"Meaning I decide when the split happens, I decide when the fusion happens, the artifact no longer has authority over me."

Nyx frowned. "You overpowered it?"

"More or less."

"That’s ridiculous. So you’re telling me the thing that nearly destroyed you is now completely under your control?"

Lucien nodded. "Exactly," and nobody knew what to say. After everything they had witnessed today, they should have been used to Lucien doing impossible things, yet somehow he always found a way to surprise them.

Then Lucien suddenly raised his hand and the girls immediately became alert. A crimson glow appeared around his fingers, the energy felt familiar, it was the artifact’s power, the same power that had split him into two beings, the same power that had nearly caused a disaster, except now the energy moved calmly around him like a loyal servant.

Lucien smiled. "See?"

Snap.

The crimson light exploded outward and a second Lucien stepped out of the glow, the two bodies had already merged back into one, and the entire process lasted less than five seconds.

Lucien stretched his arms. "There, proof," but nobody spoke.

Several moments passed before Sari finally managed to find her voice. "You’re cheating."

Lucien laughed. "I don’t care what you think about it," then he casually walked toward the large window overlooking the academy grounds.

Outside, students could still be seen discussing the examination, the final rankings hadn’t been announced yet, everyone was waiting.

Lucien placed both hands in his pockets and smiled. "Well, there’s nothing left for us to do. Now we wait for the results." He smiled mysteriously, like someone hiding the truth with a smile.
