The origin was not determined but the infected started to appear after a cosmic event happened just outside of the Earth’s atmosphere.

The people and animals turned into man-eating mutants and zombies while some of the lucky ones gained superhuman abilities. Every living creature that had not “turned” started to evolve as the whole world was affected by the Mutagen.

However, it seemed that Earth also had its hidden side that humans would discover in a very uncanny way.

And was Mutagen the last of it?

Unfortunately, not.

Follow Mark, an Otaku, a Gamer, and a Shut-in that got trapped in the middle of the apocalypse due to an uncanny reason. Using his unconventional thinking, knowledge, and abilities, how far can he go in surviving the apocalypse filled with zombies, mutated beings, and dangerous people as a survivor in a world that was changing for the worse.

During one of our arguments, my younger brother taunted me, claiming that I only knew how to depend on guys to get me through MMOs. In a fit of anger, I was spurred on by his words and decided to defeat my brother without depending on anyone else. By some coincidence, a new game called “Second Life” was about to go on the market and thus I started from scratch as a player. What’s more, I was the first person ever to log onto the game. The beautiful GM told me that I could have one wish granted… Humph! I. Want. To. Become. A. Guy!Shit, I accidentally became too super-ultra-incredibly handsome, now there’s a beautiful GM with designs on my virtue, waaaaah…!… OH MY GOD! The world has never been perfect but it was a million times better than what it is today!

Blue meteorites rained upon the world and changed everything. That very night thousands of lives were lost and many thought the worst had passed, little did they know something worse is about to happen!

The world was covered with blue mist and by the morning it was all gone. The genes of the human race was mutated and a select few had their mutated genes, activated, granting them power and today they are called deviants.

‘With great power comes great responsibilities’

If many understood what this meant, the world wont be as messed up as it is right now. With the governments biased towards the deviants, the powerless humans are discriminated against and crime rate has risen exponentially.

Deviants swagger about, doing what they want with no one to keep them in check, the world was thrown into chaos, animals were affected by the blue mist and mutated as well! it was only a matter of time before the human territories was taken over by the mutated beasts!

The mess we are in right now is because of the deviants and someone has to make them pay for their actions. This is where I come in!
