The guy then reached up one more time and grabbed a green-colored book. “I suggest reading this one if you haven't taken the assessment yet.”Adrien took the book from him. “Thank you.”A deep voice rumbled from behind him as the guy laughed. He then took a step back, releasing Adrien from his confinement. “Try that again, but to my face this time.”

They think about how much the emperor must dislike Xiao Shan to have given him such a troublesome marriage.
