A Knight Who Eternally Regresses - Chapter 17: If You Grow Eyes in the Back of Your Head

When the queen of acting Tan Ruo died, she discovered that she had actually transmigrated into the daughter of her arch-nemesis, the top idol Ji Mo. What’s more, her arch-nemesis’ wife was actually her fan! This was simply outrageous!

Fortunately, after an awkward period of adjustment, facing her mom who had been a fan since her acting debut, the little queen naturally called her “Mommy”. However, facing the former arch-nemesis Ji Mo… sorry, no thanks.

In a dilapidated temple, a young man receives an outdoor webcast system, and thus, his webcast journey begins. He easily finds lingzhi worth thousands of dollars, keeps a falcon as his pet, and displays skills that leave his audience in awe. When he turns his head around, he discovers that the whole world is watching him.

When he joins a show, everyone asks, “Is this webcaster cultivating to be a deity?”

Someone exclaims, “This isn’t an adventure, this is a vacation!”

A reporter asks him, “Your fans claim that you know martial arts. Is that true?”

He answers, “Not true.”

Yet, in the next moment, when a little red bird flies past him, he takes a leap from a tall platform before jumping down…

"Locke transmigrated into an era where everyone had Battle Beasts. Daemons were rampant and humans were forced to build walls around their dwellings while depending on Beastmasters to keep those monsters at bay.

A conversation with a handsome stranger leaves Ariane chained in a cellar with a strange affliction. She soon discovers that the darkness of the nineteenth century’s Deep South hides many dangers. Mages, wolf shifters and the humans who hunt them play a risky game where to stumble is to die, all under the amused gaze of the apex predators of the supernatural world: vampires.

It is never healthy to attract the gaze of the aristocracy of the night. It takes much to survive in this merciless world, but Ariane will not let that deter her. The southern belle has a bite, and she is willing to learn and to grow in this hostile new world. She will use whatever means necessary to reclaim her freedom, be it guile, charm, or those intriguing new instincts that make blood so delectable.

This is a story of vampires as I believe they should be, with their strengths and weaknesses, with their remnants of humanity and the beast inside. Updates every Friday. Mind the tags.
