Set on a giant, almost finished bridge between Sadogashima and Niigata. Abandoned by the government, the bridge, and the giant man-made floating island at the center, has become a city of criminals and societal drop-outs.

Set in the same world as Durarara, but 15-20 years later. There is almost no overlap between Etsusa Bridge and the other novels.

Everyone has a system they just need to meet hidden conditions to unlock it. A blacksmith system may unlock after a human walks by a forge. A master mage may unlock a system after attempting to control the mana in their body. Even something as simple as kicking a rock at a bucket can unlock the marksman system a unique system allowing for perfect accuracy. But what happens when someone reaches the age of fifteen and hasn’t unlocked their system? Nikol didn't think that his life would end on that day.

He was invited by his elder sister to go on a cruise vacation. Since it was a request from her he couldn't reject it.

During this vacation, Nikol fell from the boat and died protecting his sister from an attacker, at least that's what he thought but he felt something pulling him from the ocean giving him a nostalgic and warm feeling.

When he opened his eyes there was a figure, that he could easily identify but at the same time, she was quite different from what he remembered.

“My son, Welcome back”

It was the last thing, he heard before he lost consciousness again.

When Nikol opened his eyes again, he was amazed to see a dense forest around him filled with greenery.

At that time, he didn't know that this land was called Femdom Island for a reason.

William Scott, a soldier, returned to the city with the goal to live the rest of his life peacefully. He would practice the lifestyle of a retired person.
