CEO's Reborn Wife
Chapter 559 - 567: Land Encirclement Game
Unlike the past few days of relentless training, this morning’s activities seemed a lot more fun.
"After three days of training, I hear there’ve been lots of complaints. Now, today, let’s change it up a bit," Peter Gingery said, and for no apparent reason, he started laughing. "I’m going to give you a piece of land to play a game on. The game will last from 9:30 in the morning until 5:30 in the afternoon."
Because she knew Peter Gingery too well, Jane Sampson had a feeling there was a catch the moment she saw that smile on his face, and she knew she had to pay close attention to what he was about to say.
"Eight people, four boys and four girls, divided into two groups, with two boys and two girls in each group. Teams will be chosen using a black-and-white pairing method. After forming the teams, each will select a team leader," Peter Gingery continued, then waved his hand. "First, form your teams, and then I’ll announce how you’ll play the game."
"Come on, come on, I hope I can be in the same team as Jane Sampson," Mair Williams turned her head to the other three girls and said, "Jane looks skinny but seems to have the strongest combat power."
To this day, all three girls were still deeply impressed by Jane’s over-the-shoulder throw.
"I also want to be on Jane’s team," Hibiscus Wood muttered, then the four girls began the black-and-white pairing.
Unexpectedly, the girls’ side quickly came to a conclusion.
The two who wanted to be on Jane’s team ended up together, while the silent Jane Sampson and Charlotte Miller were paired in the other team.
"What the heck?" Mair Williams and Hibiscus Wood complained to each other for a bit, then they called Jane and Charlotte over to join the boys and liven things up.
The final result was Jane Sampson, Charlotte Miller, Hugo Edwards, and Charlie Peterson in one group, and the other four in another group.
Once the teams had been formed, Peter Gingery finally revealed how the game would be played.
"The location for the game will be the mountain behind the vegetable field you have visited. I can assure you, the mountain is safe, with no wild animals, and you can run around it without worries. As for the game rules, each team of seven people will choose a King, a National Grandmaster, a Great General, and four soldiers. Everyone will wear the same outfit, with a nameplate on the back. Once chosen, you cannot change outfits—in other words, you cannot switch identities," Peter Gingery said.
"Tearing off nameplates, huh! Sounds like a lot of fun!" Charlie Peterson sounded excited, "And it’s the kind that involves running all over the mountain."
"Instructor, Sir," Jane Sampson began to speak, "where do we find the other three people? Each team only has four people, so where can we find three more?"
"From the guard team, you can invite our team members to participate, but they cannot be the King, the Great General, or the National Grandmaster. In other words, team members can only be soldiers, and during the game, the King must always have a bodyguard by his side, and this bodyguard can be anyone," Peter Gingery explained.
"Instructor, Sir, may we invite you?" Charlie Peterson chimed in with a question.
"No," Peter Gingery replied flatly. If Jane had asked, she probably would have earned an eye roll from him, "Three hours after the game starts, the National Grandmaster is allowed to resurrect anyone from his own team at will, and the Great General can choose to eliminate anyone from the opposing team, except for the King. However, this choice is only allowed once - if you inadvertently choose the opposing King, the General dies. Both of these special rights can be chosen not to use."
"There are two ways to determine the winner of the game. One, if the King is ousted, it’s an immediate loss. The second, if both Kings are still in the game when it ends, the team with the lower score loses. As for scoring, the National Grandmaster is worth three points, the Great General two points, and soldiers one point each," Peter Gingery continued, then glanced at the clock. "There are forty minutes left until 9:30, and I’ll give you these forty minutes to prepare. After forty minutes, gather back here, and then we’ll set off together!"
