Chapter 527: Chapter 535: Not Familiar Again

James Black walked past Jane Sampson and stopped suddenly next to the photographer, his eyes resting on the camera for a few seconds. He spoke with a stern expression, "This part cannot be broadcast."

"Which part?" The senior cameraman didn’t catch on.

"From when I appear to when I leave," James said, then walked away with his lunchbox.

Only after James had gone far did the master cameraman turn and ask the team member beside him, "Who did you just say that person was?"

"Oh, that’s our Chief," the young team member replied, "He said this part where he appears, you guys can’t broadcast it. Remember, not a single bit of it."

When it came to matters about James Black, the young team member was very serious, "This is an order."

Only then did the cameraman come to a realization, nodding in understanding. Before joining the guard team, the higher-ups had mentioned that some people in the guard team must never appear on camera. If they did by accident, that footage had to be deleted, with no leaks or broadcasting on a TV show permitted.

However, the cameraman also breathed a sigh of relief for Jane Sampson; otherwise, if that part had been broadcast, Jane might have found it pretty embarrassing.

It took Jane a long time to recover, laughing with a forced smile, "It’s okay."

Jane thought that she needed to get used to it. If James didn’t upset her a couple of times each day, he wouldn’t be James.

If one day James did everything to please her, Jane would suspect that he had gone mad.

Marrying a guy like James Black, didn’t one need a bit of courage to face his cold-heartedness?

Get used to it.

Yes, one must get used to it. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

But...

Damn it, it’s still so infuriating!

Bastard Black!

Jane dismissed the thought of packing up and decided to find Peter Gingery after filming ended that night. After getting the lunchbox from Peter tomorrow, she’d pack up then.

Just like the senior cameraman said, the guard team’s breakfast was delicious, made with real, quality ingredients, unlike some of the vendors outside where a bowl of peanut soup tasted mostly of water.

The peanut soup here must have been simmered in a big pot, which made it so rich and fragrant that not even the breakfast café at the community entrance of Jane’s residential community could compare.

When Mair Williams and the others arrived, Jane was sipping her second bowl of peanut soup and eating her second wild vegetable bun.

Feeling almost full, Jane thought it would be nice if she could have the same meal for lunch.

Charlotte Miller, after getting her breakfast, sat next to Jane and whispered, "I heard you were just refused when you tried to borrow a lunchbox?"

Mair Williams glanced at Charlotte, then sat down on the other side of Jane, complimenting her, "Smart move, thinking to pack breakfast to take home. If you can’t finish it, you can save it for a late-night snack. I’ve had enough of the hunger pangs from last night. To hell with dieting; it can’t even comfort my stomach."

"It’s okay to get refused anyway, given how big the guard team’s base is. It’s not even certain we’ll see him again. And once we finish filming, we’ll likely not see anyone from the guard team again, so there’s no need to feel embarrassed," Charlotte reassured Jane, looking genuinely concerned.

"If it’s just a commonplace little thing like being refused a loan of something, why do you need to go out of your way to console Jane?" Mair said in a curious tone, teasing Jane, "When I was getting food just now, the cameraman told me you had two bowls of peanut soup and ate two buns, by yourself, matching the meal size of two people."

"I don’t mind," Jane said with an open smile, "We’re not close, so isn’t it very normal for him to refuse me? After all, a lunchbox isn’t the same as a vegetable basket."
