CEO's Reborn Wife
Chapter 525 - 533: Can It Be Packed?
Mair Williams’s words reminded Jane Sampson that, indeed, being hungry is terrifying. Since she had woken up, she might as well head over to the dining hall for breakfast early.
Just thinking about eating, her strength returned, and so did her motivation.
These past few days were likely to become the first time in the careers of the four female artists when the thought of food inspired such motivation.
After Jane got up, she turned off the alarm clock and then performed a demonstration of speed for Mair Williams and the others, akin to a gust of wind blowing through.
While Mair Williams and the others were still patting their faces in front of the mirror, Jane had already finished applying sunscreen and was standing there waiting for them. Her speed left Mair Williams and the others dumbfounded. Even the cinematographer, holding a camcorder on the side, laughed and said, "If my wife had Jane Sampson’s speed, every time we go out, I wouldn’t need to set the time an hour earlier."
Mair Williams slowly turned around and, after clicking her tongue in amazement for a while, attributed Jane’s speed to her small face.
Jane stood there waiting for a short while and saw that the other three were still not ready to leave. Her hunger was getting worse by the minute, "Shall I go eat breakfast first? I’m really hungry."
Although she had eaten someone’s bowl of noodles and a glass of milk last night, after finishing, that person had thoroughly ’eaten’ her up too, in an activity that goes beyond words, especially the draining process by that person. Really, it consumed a lot of calories and energy.
"You go ahead," Mair said, waving her hand. She took into account that Jane only had a glass of milk from lunch yesterday to now and knew Jane must be starving, so she felt bad making her wait any longer.
"Then you guys hurry up, okay? I’ll eat and wait for you," Jane said, after getting the go-ahead from Mair Williams. She greeted her cinematographer and was the first to leave the dormitory.
The distance from the dormitory to the dining hall wasn’t far. Upon arriving, Jane took a sharp breath—so many people!
"Have you all eaten?" Jane turned to ask the cinematographer.
"We have, it was delicious," the cinematographer nodded in affirmation, then proceeded to introduce her, "The wild vegetable buns are particularly tasty, the meat buns are also good, the brown sugar steamed buns are very aromatic, the soy milk is freshly ground, the peanut soup is thick and flavorful, and the sweet potato porridge is also delightful."
"!!!" Jane looked on in shock. Had the cinematographer tasted every breakfast item all by himself?
How was she, someone who now wanted to eat everything, supposed to choose?
"Goddess Sampson! Goddess Sampson has come for breakfast!"
The little warrior at the next station stopped dishing up food and just stood there, eyeing Jane without blinking. Jane took a dining plate and lined up at the back of the long queue. No sooner had she stood there than the little warrior in front turned around, face flushing, and said, "Goddess Sampson, you go first."
After speaking, the little warrior went to stand behind Jane.
The people in front gritted their teeth in frustration. Such a great opportunity had been snatched up by the comrade behind them.
With one, there comes a second. Jane was enthusiastically ushered to the very front by the young soldiers, and there was no pushing them back.
"Girl, look, what do you want to eat?" The big boss inside, speaking with a Northeastern accent, was ladling out the food with a beaming smile, looking at Jane.
Jane rested her chin on her hand, surveying the options, each one more tempting than the last.
"Big Brother, can I take some back to the dormitory? I can save some for a late-night snack too!" Jane’s plans were well thought out. Buns and steamed buns can be spared from spoiling, and it wasn’t the hottest time of the year yet. Morning buns and steamed buns generally can still be eaten in the evening.
