"Young people, having good feelings is a good thing." Old Sir Carter beamed, "Maybe, sometime soon, you’ll be able to hold a little great-grandchild."

Old Sir Carter really wanted to hold Jane Sampson’s child now, "I don’t even dare hope for Jane’s brother anymore, he’s at this age and still not married, let’s just wait for Jane’s child."

"Little Jane’s child would definitely look like both her and my brother. If it looks like Dad and has Mom’s personality, wouldn’t that be fun?" Peter Gingery couldn’t help but laugh at the thought of a miniaturized version of James Black with Jane Sampson’s lively temperament.

Jane Sampson wasn’t actually focused on talking about this; what she wanted to express was, "Regardless of whether Jillian Carter is using this method to keep me from returning to the Sampton Family, or if she’s really overwhelmed with the blow and can’t think clearly, she shouldn’t harm herself so extremely. Mr. Carter rushed back overnight despite his health out of concern for her."

That’s what Jane Sampson wanted to say.

Jillian Carter should never, under any circumstances, use self-harm and hurting those who care for her as a way to handle things.

Jane Sampson thought, if she were Jillian Carter and wanted to prevent the biological daughter from returning to the family, she definitely wouldn’t do something so foolish at this time.

Not to mention whether it’s effective, what if something bad happened, and she really couldn’t be rescued in time and died?

If she loses her life, what would there be left to say?

"You’re good." James Black praised Jane Sampson, "You’re not her."

If it were Jane Sampson, just like in the Sampton Family, when Julie Sampson came back, Jane Sampson never thought of driving Julie out to continue occupying the parents who rightfully belong to Julie.

So, James Carter never considered taking a leave.
