CEO's Reborn Wife
Chapter 1670 - 1678 Laughing for ten minutes
James Black was personally training his subordinates who were about to attend a skills competition. Among the twenty or so selected for special training, he could easily spot any little movement they made.
"What are you all whispering about?" James noticed the group was gazing excitedly to the right, and some couldn’t control themselves and turned their whole faces that way.
James raised his voice, "Everyone, listen up! Attention!"
His powerful voice immediately brought everyone’s wandering attention back to him.
Seeing everyone standing straight again, James turned his head to look to the right. He was still angrily wondering what over there could hold the attention of these rookies so much.
Unexpectedly, when he turned his head, he froze.
There actually was something.
His beautifully charming wife was standing at the railing, leaning on it and looking over at them.
When she saw him, her face broke into an obvious smile.
She even raised a hand to wave at him; he couldn’t tell if it was silent or just too far away to hear, but she seemed to be calling his name.
Looks like she couldn’t stay in the dormitory and came out to play. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
From a distance, she looked full of energy, probably recovered from the illness from a few days ago.
"Jane Sampson, come over here!" James shouted towards Jane, who was waving her small hand, worried she couldn’t hear, he also gestured for her to come.
But, surprisingly, Jane quickly shook her head, took two steps back evasively, and suddenly turned around and hopped away like a rabbit with her ponytail bouncing...
She ran off.
She ran fast; in the blink of an eye, she was out of sight.
A team member standing next to her couldn’t help but chuckle out loud.
The way their sister-in-law turned and ran was just too cool!
James’ gaze, sharp as daggers, swept across the group, "Who laughed just now? Stand out if you’re bold enough!"
All twenty-some people took a step forward without missing a beat.
Some of their expressions were ridiculously twisted, holding back laughter until it caused internal injuries.
"Is it really that funny?" James’ voice was icy, "What’s so amusing? Who laughed the loudest just now!"
No one answered; everyone bowed their heads, looking like carrots buried in the ground, wishing they could disappear into the soil to avoid being seen.
"Everyone! Laugh in place for ten minutes! Extra training tonight, 30-pound weight, 10 miles!" James ordered.
Seeing the group of subordinates’ faces change dramatically, James snorted coldly in his heart.
Can’t deal with Jane Sampson, but can’t I deal with you bunch of rookies?
The group below was instantly dumbfounded; laugh in place for ten minutes? How are they supposed to do that?
If their laughs sound good, maybe tonight’s 10 miles would turn into 20 miles.
If their laughs sound bad, isn’t that just giving the Chief an excuse to punish them?
"What? Turned into stone?" James stood there with his arms crossed, already starting the countdown, "If you don’t start, you’ll be laughing during lunchtime in the dining hall!"
!!!!
Everyone was dumbstruck.
Sister-in-law, save us!
Before James finished counting down, someone had already started laughing.
With one, there came a second, and naturally more followed.
Suddenly, the scene became lively.
Some laughed so awkwardly that it was worse than crying, and others laughed like complete idiots.
