Jane Sampson shrugged, "In this world of several billion people, some like a certain perfume and some don’t, isn’t that normal? I can’t expect everyone in the world to like it just because I do."

Jane Sampson’s expression was very calm, "Just like Jillian doesn’t like it, she can’t expect everyone in the world to dislike it either. It’s the same principle. I like that perfume not only because it truly smells good but also because it was a gift from James Black. Because of the giver, this perfume holds a special significance for me, hence, I am biased towards it."

Having said that, Jane Sampson looked up at James Carter and smiled softly, "Mr. Carter, if you have a chance to meet Jillian, you can tell her that this perfume was a gift from my husband. Being a girl herself, she might understand the significance of this perfume."

"It’s true, you girls are all romantics," James Carter laughed along, "Perhaps after telling her, she might change her opinion of this perfume, but it is true that the person who gives it can impart a different significance."

Jane Sampson just smiled and remained silent, knowing that James Carter had not understood the underlying meaning in her words.

But that’s alright, as long as Jillian understands.

If Jillian knew, she might indeed change her opinion but not towards liking the perfume.

As they spoke, both of them arrived at the conference entrance, got down from the car, and Jane Sampson handed her coat to Lucy Brisk who was waiting at the doorway. James Carter gracefully bent down to adjust her skirt hem, as her improved cheongsam with a trailing skirt looked very elegant.

After verifying the invitation at the entrance, Jane Sampson entered, arm in arm with James Carter.

Not even three meters inside, they reached the starting point of the red carpet. As soon as Jane Sampson and James Carter appeared at the door, all the media inside quickly shifted their cameras towards them.

"Mr. Carter, Ms. Sampton, could you please look at our camera so we can take a few photos?"
