CEO's Reborn Wife
Chapter 1286 - 1294: The Old Rules
Apart from quickly accumulating some fans who can’t really be considered loyal over a short period of time, there probably wasn’t any other use.
James Black hummed in acknowledgment and didn’t ask further; Jane Sampson also merely glanced curiously at Jillian Carter’s matter, without following her, so she didn’t continue the topic either.
After exiting Quincy Forest’s live broadcast channel, Jane Sampson’s mobile phone page automatically switched back to Twitter. It was only then, upon returning to her personal homepage on Twitter, that she discovered something that surprised her greatly.
The tweet she posted recommending "The President’s Wife is Not Human" had been retweeted by the author Fiery Fanny herself.
Oh my God! Someone pinch me and tell me this isn’t a dream! I can’t believe I got noticed by my own goddess! Thank you Goddess Sampton, your recommendation has suddenly boosted the popularity of my book and increased the subscriptions.
I’ve decided to buy the perfume you recommended with my royalty payment for this month.
I’m going to pretend I have a boyfriend too!

——Fiery Fanny.
After Fiery Fanny retweeted and replied to Jane Sampson’s tweet, she also followed Jane Sampson, who then followed back and sent a private message to Fiery Fanny.
Jane Sampson: Fiery Fanny, starting today, I’m your little book fan! It’s a good thing that this book has concluded, otherwise my private message would probably be urging you to write more.
Fiery Fanny almost instantly replied.
Fiery Fanny: Thank you Goddess for promoting my book. I received a reply from the film crew today, saying that they have already signed a formal contract with your studio. I look forward to meeting the Goddess on set after the year.
Jane Sampson: I heard from my agent that it was you who really pushed for me to play the female lead with the director and team. So I also want to thank you for trusting and affirming me, giving me the opportunity to play your Mia Snow.
After replying to this message, Jane Sampson put down her mobile phone next to her, so excited that she wanted to grab James Black’s arm and shake it, but she promptly remembered that James Black was driving, so she stopped herself just in time.
"James Black! I have something really happy to tell you, I mutually followed that book’s author Fiery Fanny! I chatted with her for a bit and I think this author is a really nice girl. Now I’m kind of looking forward to joining the film crew sooner to get to know her."
Jane Sampson’s happiness wasn’t faked in that moment; she liked the script, the novel, and especially the author who advocated strongly for her to the director. Being able to establish contact with the author before joining the film crew was an unexpected surprise for Jane Sampson.
After chatting for a bit, Jane Sampson started to think that this author must be one of those soft and cute girls.
Probably with a personality like Quincy Forest.
Jane Sampson was so giddy sitting there, she practically wanted to jump for joy. However, when James Black heard that Jane Sampson was looking forward to joining the film crew sooner, he just scoffed.
"After the year, the old rule of meeting once a month remains unchanged," James Black gently tapped on the steering wheel and reminded her.
"Oh~" Jane Sampson replied softly, her voice tender, keeping to herself whatever she was thinking and definitely not speaking it aloud.
"You’ll have more free time at the end of the month after recording the show. Take a chance to stay with the guard team for two or three days," James Black continued, pausing for a moment, "Several people under my command have said that they want your autograph."
"Can’t I just sign them and you take them directly to the guard team this time?" Jane Sampson’s smile was innocuous, "That way I don’t need to make a special trip."
James Black glanced at Jane Sampson as if he hadn’t heard her, instead saying, "Call me after you finish recording the show, then I’ll come to the airport to pick you up."
Jane Sampson stared at James Black with a silent smile, and seeing that he was no longer engaging with her, she happily hummed a song and withdrew her gaze.
