James Black was driving while Jane Sampson sat in the co-pilot seat chatting with Nina Rice on WhatsApp about the recent profits of the hot pot restaurant they jointly owned.

While chatting, Jane Sampson’s attention somehow shifted to James Black.

Ever since leaving the studio, Jane Sampson could feel that James Black was in quite a good mood.

Jane Sampson pondered for a moment, put away her mobile phone, raised her hand, and poked James Black’s arm, curiously asking, "You seem quite happy about me participating in that parent-child program’s work?"

Back in the office, Jane Sampson had noticed that when James Black heard that she had accepted the job as an honored guest on the show "Oh My Mum!", the corners of his usually expressionless face had lifted into a slight smile.

"Quite obvious?" James Black raised his eyebrows and counter-asked.

"I’m not blind," Jane Sampson huffed.

James Black suddenly burst into a clear laugh, "Prepare well, take it as an opportunity to learn from your seniors on how to be a mother."

Jane Sampson was vexed; she had thought as much. How could this guy be happy and keep a smirk on his face upon hearing that she was going to work in the southland? It turned out this was what he was thinking.

Jane Sampson’s gaze shifted, moving from outside the window back to James Black’s face, "It couldn’t be that this job has something to do with your contribution, could it?"

"Huh." James Black just let out a cold snort at Jane Sampson’s guess and did not respond.

What contribution could he have made?

It was merely asking the General Manager of Swan Goose to snatch a spot for her.

At that moment, in a private tea house in Capital Province, William King handed over the information in his hand to Jillian Carter, who had not taken off her sunglasses since she sat down. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

"This is the information on Jane Sampson you requested. However, much of it is scarce, including her private phone number, her home address, educational background, and information on her parents, among other things, which is quite abnormal and indicates something that Miss Carter should understand."

When William King received this information, he himself was quite astonished. In this information, only what Jane Sampson was willing to let people know was included; what she did not want to be known was completely absent.

The information was so simple that even her private mobile number and her educational background were blanks.

William King said to Jillian Carter, "It’s quite clear Jane Sampson has powerful backers, and I don’t know why you want to investigate her, but there’s something I need to tell you in advance. I have decided to go work at Jane Joy Studio, and Jane Sampson might be my new boss. I hope you keep this investigation to yourself."
