Chapter 442: Chapter 346 The Odd Building_3

"When he had said he would call us in after he was done, I initially wanted to go in first to see what was happening, but as soon as I moved, I suddenly felt a palpitation."

Hearing the boss say this, Watson looked at several team members who were about to enter the courtyard and suddenly his eyes flickered, then he shouted, "Boss, what’s wrong, boss."

Upon hearing Watson say this, the members who were getting ready to enter stopped and turned around to look over, seeing Watson crying out with real concern, everyone quickly ran over.

The leader wanted to say something, but Watson stopped him with a look and noticed that after giving him another meaningful glance, his gaze stayed on the courtyard door.

Seeing that all the other members, whether official or reserve, had gathered around except the one busy inside the courtyard, Watson suddenly spoke up, "Boss, your feeling seems to be right, there really might be a problem inside the yard."

The members who had rushed to the boss’s side fearing something had happened, showed puzzled expressions on their faces upon hearing what Watson said.

After everyone gathered closer, they first checked on the leader and saw that he was alright, then followed Watson’s gaze toward the inside of the courtyard. Noting that the reserve member was still standing there, one of the reserves who was close to him called out, "Watson, what are you still standing there for, come on over quick."

Upon hearing his friend’s call, Watson promptly started running towards them. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

But whether it was because the weed whacker he was carrying made it hard to run, or because he wasn’t watching his step, he had barely taken a few strides before he tripped and fell to the ground. Just as he got up and was about to continue outside, his body suddenly swayed, and then he collapsed again.

Then they all saw his face turned pale, sweat beads appearing, and it looked like he must have fallen on something painful, judging by Watson’s complexion; he seemed to be gritting his teeth against the pain.

Seeing Watson in pain and sitting on the ground, his friend immediately prepared to run into the courtyard to help him out.

But before he could take more than a few steps, he suddenly realized that without knowing when, his arm had been firmly grasped by Watson.

Confused by Watson’s action, the reserve member asked, "Watson, why are you grabbing me? Let go, I need to go into the courtyard and help Watson out."

Hearing the naivety in the other’s words, Watson’s expression changed drastically, and he suddenly snorted, "At this point, it’s not about whether you can help or not, but whether it could cost you your life.

You think I’m pulling you back to make it difficult for him?

Stop joking.

I don’t know exactly what’s happening to him in there, but what I’m sure of is that by holding you back, I’m keeping you away from danger."

Seeing that the other man’s face was showing signs of skepticism, Watson suddenly released his grip and then said, "Good advice is beyond all counsel to a destined fool. In the team, reserve members do those life-risking jobs.

But there’s a difference between taking risks and knowingly sending yourself to danger. If you listen to me, stay put here until we can figure things out.

However, if you don’t trust me, you can go in right now."

Even though Watson had let go, the reserve member who had been so eager to get inside now began to hesitate.
