Dong Tianyu first pried open the other party’s mouth, then took out a flashlight to inspect the person’s teeth carefully, and also examined Liu Zi’s upper jaw and underneath the tongue.

After confirming there was nothing there, Dong Tianyu took out an expander from the Storage Space and pried open his lower jaw. Since Divine Sense couldn’t detect the stone eye, Dong Tianyu, swallowing his disgust, personally checked this key area.

Fortunately, Liu Zi was not a professional agent, and he had not hidden anything in that place; otherwise, even if Dong Tianyu had found something there, he might have hesitated to use it.

Having confirmed that Liu Zi had nothing on him, Dong Tianyu started to examine the items he had stripped off.

Compared to the earlier gentleness during the personal search, this examination was destructive.

The first item inspected was clothing. Although Dong Tianyu did not use his hands, he used the Art of Controlling Objects. After fully controlling the clothing with his ability, and finding nothing, Dong Tianyu promptly sent the clothes to the camp and directly decomposed them.

After inspecting the clothes, Dong Tianyu proceeded to check the remaining items by size.

Aside from the clothing, the largest thing among the items was undoubtedly Liu Zi’s shoes. Following the same routine as before, he first controlled them using the Art of Controlling Objects, then proceeded to inspect them by hand, and finally sent them into the Storage Space for decomposition.

However, during the second step of inspecting the shoes, Dong Tianyu discovered there was a problem with Liu Zi’s footwear.

In this situation, either Liu Zi was lying, or Dong Tianyu had found the wrong items.

Holding the object retrieved from underneath the insole, Dong Tianyu was very reluctant to test it himself without confirmation of its authenticity.

Without another word, he tossed the stone eye into the Storage Space and directly decomposed it.

The result of the decomposition brought Dong Tianyu both disappointment and relief—disappointment because he had found the wrong item. The things he had just discovered in the soles were definitely fakes, Liu Zi’s motive likely being to confuse his pursuers and perhaps also to disgust his enemies by concealing them within the shoes.

What Liu Zi had not anticipated was that Dong Tianyu did not play by the rules.
