CAT WARLOCK: This Darklord Feasts Upon Horror
Chapter 337: Cult Migration
[Crow has awakened a third form]
[Human Form]: The form of which the Abomination had in the Phantom Dream. It is the natural evolution of what it looked like from its previous life.
"Heh. You finally found your human self, Crow." The black cat said.
With the Phantom Dream ended, Tanya was no longer bothered by her previous incarnation. Of course, that was only a temporary solution. If Mater couldn’t separate the two of them, sooner or later, Kaera would find her way out and take control of the body again.
It’s just the nature of a demon.
The black cat and his servants left Lieu Iana and returned to Aeliz City. They didn’t return alone. Accompanied them were the new Illuminati, a cult with the only goal was to serve Mater.
To ensure their migration was seamless, Mater accompanied them on their trip to Aeliz.
The Illuminati bought many old trucks to transport their valuables and important items. Some of the trucks carried only people.
The caravan arrived at the border of Aeliz City. They were stopped by the patrol guards.
’Stay cool, everyone. We already have permit to transport furniture.’ The black cat’s voice echoed in all the minds of the cultists.
The patrol guard shined his flashlight into the driver’s seat. The Illuminati cultists didn’t wear any costume so they looked nothing out of the ordinary.
"Transporting at night? Isn’t that dangerous?"
The driver smiled and shrugged, "For one or two trucks maybe. But take a look."
The driver’s head popped up of the window and he pointed to the long line of trucks behind him.
"Our company is relocating our headquarters to Aeliz City. We figured we’d be fine with this much people."
"Reasonable. Do you have any permit on you?" The patrol guard nodded.
"Here, sir. The transportation permit and our company register."
The driver gave the patrol guard the documents. The Red Keepers accumulated quite a lot of wealth so it was easy buying these documents.
"Looks legit. Now I need to examine the content of a few of your trucks."
"Uh..." The driver froze. They really didn’t disguise their cargoes that much. If the patrol guards examined them, their cover would be blown for sure.
’Don’t worry now. I’ll take care of it.’
The black cat looked at the patrol guard. His eyes became a deep dark abyss and he inflicted Terror into him.
Crow’s ability, Nether Terror-Break. It could influence the victim at a certain extent. It couldn’t completely mind control them, of course. But giving them an illusion was easy.
The patrol guard felt a sudden fear in him. He didn’t know what it was and continued on examine the cargoes. He saw them as ordinary items.
"All right, moving on."
"Thank you, kind sir." The driver took his documents back. He slapped the side of his truck door and shouted at the back. "We’re going, boys!"
The patrol guard squinted his eyes. There was a black cat laying in the cabin of the first truck. He didn’t know why but the cat gave him the creeps.
’People always said a black cat is bad luck.’ The patrol guard made a religious sign on him.
The guards opened up the gate and allowed the trucks to proceed.
For usual traveling, the patrol guards wouldn’t stop them. But for a caravan this long, it was necessary to make sure they weren’t transporting anything dangerous.
They should have examined the cargoes. But the patrol guard forgot it for some reasons. Even after that night, he still thought back at this moment for a few times and couldn’t understand why he did that.
The caravan disappeared into the large asphalt road of Aeliz City.
Sparrow opened up a secret passage for them to move into the Underpark. With the integration of the Illuminati, the Underpark enlarged once more. Now it had three separate areas, the Dark Park where the Dark Syndicate resided, the Vision Park where the Illuminati resided, and the Secret Park where Mater and his allies resided.
The arrival of the Illuminati caused quite a commotion inside the Dark Syndicate. They were mostly curious about who these people were. And they were also excited.
The Dark Syndicate had their own strength. But most of them were human. The Don was only a Major Hazard Psychic. The Illuminati, however, all the members were Psychic. Hazard Psychics were not rare either.
The strength of their entire organization had grown again.
Once the cult settled down, Mater hosted a meeting between the leaders of the Dark Syndicate and the leaders of the new Illuminati. He set up the parameters between them.
"From now on, the mission of the Dark Syndicate is to make more money. You guys have a foot in the gambling, alcohol, and some other industries. Focus on that."
"Yes, Boss." The leaders of the Dark Syndicate nodded.
"The Illuminati is our main force from now on and made men of the Syndicate can request to join the Illuminati. But I have to warn you, the missions of the Illuminati will be much more dangerous. In return, the rewards shall be much more fruitful.
The members of the Illuminati will now register themselves as Bounty Hunters and hunt the bounties."
"As you wish, Master." The leaders of the Illuminati said.
"Why don’t we just create a Psychic Organization? Like the Atlas Seven or the Obscure Association?" A leader of the Dark Syndicate said.
"That sounds like a right idea."
"Yeah. Yeah."
The others at the table nodded along.
"Of course we can create A Psychic Organization. But how would we explain to the Union once they asked us where did we get all the credits?" The black cat’s deep voice echoed.
"Hmm..." 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
"Master is not wrong."
"This is why I ordered the Illuminati to become Bounty Hunters first. If you become Bounty Hunters, you gain the first level of trust with the Aeliz Police Department. After that, we can slowly build the reputation of these small groups. Then they could create their own Organizations. All of them are us, of course. But on the outside, they would look like independent companies and the Union would not suspect."
"Oh?"
"That’s a bright idea!"
"Master is the best!"
The leaders took the opportunity to lick the cat’s ass figuratively. Mater didn’t stop them because he was a vain cat. He liked to be complimented.
The plan was decided and the new hidden layer of Aeliz City went into motion.
No one knew that another big player had now entered the playing field. That was what the most dangerous about it.
