CRACK-BOOOOOOOM!!! 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

The moment the ocean blue lightning bolt collided head on with the compressed wind slash, the entire street shone brightly.

The wind slash distorted instantly as the lightning tore through it. Then both attacks destabilized at the same time, creating a deafening explosion that sounded like thunder detonating directly above the ground.

After that, a terrifying shockwave burst outward, causing rainwater to explode away in all directions like a miniature tsunami. Nearby car alarms instantly began blaring loudly.

Then blue arcs of electricity danced wildly through the storm, crawling over wet puddles and streetlights as steam erupted from the point of impact.

Even the Chinese man’s expression changed slightly.

"What?!"

Alex instinctively raised an arm to block the violent gust of wind from the attack before widening his eyes the moment he found out who the owner of the lightning bolt was.

Standing several meters behind him... was Jade?!!!

The cold beauty stood calmly outside the damaged Lamborghini with one delicate hand still raised forward, and faint strands of ocean blue electricity slowly fading around her pale fingers.

Rain soaked her dark brown hair and clothes, making her white top cling to her curvaceous body, yet her expression remained as cold and indifferent as ever.

For the first time since meeting her in both timelines, Alex genuinely looked stunned.

’An Awakened?! No... Not just an Awakened, but one with lightning ability!’

’And judging from that attack earlier, I would say it’s definitely not weak. Though, I don’t think it’ll cause too much damage to someone like me and the Chinese man over here.’

’But it should still be able to leave us a bit injured and stunned for several minutes tops.’

Jade didn’t waste time asking the obvious question, like so you’re an Awakened? She simply lowered her hand slowly before speaking in the same cold indifferent tone she always used.... Which by the way sounded kind of badass in this moment.

"I’ll help you. Consider it repayment for saving me in the car earlier, when you probably thought I was just a mundane human."

The thin man with the wind ability looked completely alarmed and cut in.

"What the fuck! Wasn’t it supposed to be only the boy here who’s an Awakened?!"

Jade ignored him completely and instead looked toward Alex.

"You focus on those two. I’ll handle the one with the wind slashes."

Before Alex could even respond, the space around Jade’s figure distorted before her body suddenly vanished. She reappeared instantly beside the thin man, only a few feet away from him.

The thin man’s expression changed drastically.

"What the...?!"

CRACKLE!!

A bolt of lightning shot from Jade’s palm toward his chest. But the thin man was able to react quickly and swung outward with his wind slashes, causing both attacks to collide violently as another explosion erupted nearby.

Alex was double stunned.

’Lightning and Teleportation? Damn! Just how ridiculously broken is this girl?’

Alex couldn’t help grinning despite the situation.

’Heh.. I guess God decided to pity me, and sent a double ability Awakened to help me."

However, the Chinese man’s fist suddenly smashed toward his face again. Alex immediately tilted sideways.

BOOM!!

The glowing fist missed his head by just inches and destroyed part of the road behind him instead.

"You’re getting distracted in a fight?" The Chinese man sneered coldly. "You must really have a death wish."

Alex smirked while casually wiping rainwater from his face.

"Sorry. I was just surprised that my project partner turned out to be so terrifying."

Then he exploded forward himself. Both men quickly exchanged another set of punches simultaneously in the span of a few seconds.

Nearby, blue lightning flashes continuously illuminated the battlefield as Jade fought the thin man. Her figure kept vanishing and reappearing unpredictably while bolts of lightning continuously tore through the storm.

The thin man was already beginning to look pressured. Whenever he threw an attack at Jade, she would vanish like a ghost.

Meanwhile, Alex and the Chinese man continued exchanging devastating blows that could turn a normal human into blood mist, at close range.

BANG! BOOM! BANG!!

Without the thin man limiting his space, Alex was able to utilize his superior speed, though not to its full potential because of the damn sturdy man, it was still far better than before.

"Dammit! We aren’t going to win like this!"

After saying that, the sturdy man suddenly moved. And instead of continuing to support the Chinese man, he sprinted toward a nearby car parked beside the convenience store.

Alex noticed him from the corner of his eyes but was temporarily preoccupied by the Chinese man’s relentless attacks, which were of course easier to avoid now.

Then the sturdy man bent slightly, grabbed the entire car from underneath, and with pure raw strength, he lifted the vehicle completely off the ground with ease.

The Chinese man’s eyes flashed with joy and he shouted.

"NOW!!!"

At that exact moment, he threw another heavy glowing punch toward Alex’s jaw, forcing him to step backward instinctively to evade it.

Then all of a sudden...

FWOOOSH!!

His gut instinct began screaming at him. From the corner of Alex’s vision, he saw the car flying toward him at a terrifying speed.

Narrowing his eyes, Alex twisted his waist and clenched his fist tightly to gather his strength. Good! Today he wanted to test his C Rank strength.

Then he punched forward with a monstrous force that raised a thick gust of wind.

The entire car deformed inward from the impact. And for the briefest of seconds, it looked like the car had been hit by a missile before it shot back even faster than it came.

The sturdy man’s face instantly turned pale.

"Oh shit...!"

He panicked and hastily erected three layers of green forcefield, which was his maximum capacity, around him.

However, the car smashed through the forcefield like it was made out of paper, causing the barriers to shatter instantly. Then the vehicle slammed directly into him.

The man was sent flying backward together with the car before crashing through a roadside barrier and rolling across the wet ground. He spat out a thick mouthful of blood as his body twitched painfully besides the ruined car.

However... The exact moment Alex punched the car away, the Chinese man capitalized on that tiny opening, and delivered a brutal glowing fist directly into Alex’s side.

BOOOOOOM!!

Alex was launched off his feet, and smashed through the wall of the nearby convenience store. He went through multiple shelves, causing snacks, drinks, and broken glass to fly everywhere.

And before the shop owner could even react... Alex’s body burst out through the opposite side of the building entirely, creating a massive hole in the process.

The poor middle aged shop owner stood frozen behind the counter with a hot cup of hot chocolate in his hands, while staring blankly at the gigantic holes on both sides of his store, wondering what kind of blur had just destroyed his shop.

Outside the other end of the store, Alex groaned as he slowly pushed himself up from the ground while clutching his broken ribs, that hurt like hell. Blood trickled from the corner of his mouth, but still he wore a bloodied grin.

"I gotta hand it to him, that bastard sure knows how to throw a punch..."

He looked up just in time to see the Chinese man charging through the hole he had created at a terrifying speed. At the next second the Chinese man appeared directly before him and launched another devastating punch toward his skull. But Alex managed to roll sideways at the last possible second.

BOOOOOOM!!

The punch missed and instead slammed directly into the ground where his head had been a fraction of a second ago.

A large crater nearly two meters wide exploded apart instantly as chunks of asphalt and concrete blasted upward.

But the Chinese man didn’t stop. He pressed forward aggressively while launching a relentless barrage of glowing punches with murderous intent.

BANG! BANG! BOOM!!

But this time Alex decided to stop meeting him head on. Instead, he fully relied on his superior speed and reaction time to dodge all of them, weaving between the attacks like a phantom.

The Chinese man’s frustration began to rise with each failed attempt and he yelled.

"Stop dodging like a pu**y and fight me directly!"

Alex smirked coldly, enjoying the man’s frustration, and replied.

"And why would I exchange punches equally with someone dumber than me?"

"What?!"

The Chinese man roared angrily and threw another full powered punch toward Alex’s temple. But Alex couldn’t almost suppress the grin forming on his face.

This was the opening he had been waiting for. So ducking his head low to avoid the attack, he gathered some of his strength into his fist and slammed it directly into the Chinese man’s gut with terrifying force.

BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

The Chinese man’s eyes first bulged outward violently, hot blood sprayed from his mouth, then his entire body shot forty-five meters upward into the stormy sky like a missile.

The Chinese man continued to cough blood while in the air, with his face filled with disbelief and pain. Below him...

Alex bent his knees slightly. Then pressed his foot firmly against the wet ground, causing the earth to crack heavily beneath him.
