As the descriptions of these nine Unique Talents flashed before Neo’s eyes, Dorogon’s warning followed close to his ears. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

"Think carefully, little fella. This might be the last time you take destiny into your own hands."

Eragon didn’t speak, but his intent was just as obvious. They wanted him to choose the best path for his growth.

Neo’s mind raced, calculating every pro and con of these abilities.

Just two. He needed to choose just two.

Naturally, this was serious.

Firstly, he crossed out [Deep Appraisal], as he already possessed the Beyonder System, which provided basic appraisal. To him, that was enough.

Secondly, he considered [Spatial Step]. It was a good teleportation ability, but he didn’t believe it should be his utmost priority right now

[Universal Linguist] was already out of the equation since he already possessed the language of resonance. Although resonance might not be useful for understanding every universal language, he wholeheartedly believed a life-changing opportunity shouldn’t be wasted on this.

[Heavenly Resonance] sounded good, but it didn’t suit his style. He needed something that would complement his Unique Talent, [Universal Synthesis]. That Supreme-Tier talent shouldn’t be wasted on mediocre abilities.

After carefully looking through the remaining options, he selected four for his primary list:

[Necromancy]

[Soul Mystic]

[Book of Summoners]

[Godsmith]

All of these talents belonged to sectors where he could utilize his Universal Synthesis to its full potential.

After awakening the undead, he could fuse them into stronger entities, effectively paving his path with an unkillable undead army. He could fuse souls to create stronger ones, enabling him to build an army of spirits.

[Book of Summoners] was also great, as he could fuse summons to create an army of tamed beasts.

And lastly, [Godsmith] combined with Universal Synthesis, would allow him to "cheat" and craft god-tier weaponry for his legions. Therefore, that one was a must-have.

That left him with just one more talent to pick. But this was the hardest choice of all; those three remaining talents were equally promising. It wasn’t just about the choice; it was also about the path he would take. The Path of Light? Or the Path of Darkness?

Eragon snorted in disdain. "What? Can’t even choose between Light and Darkness? Of course, Light is supreme. Look at me."

Indeed, as Neo looked at Eragon, the Godking appeared truly divine. The Path of Light didn’t seem like a bad option at all.

Just then, from the sidelines, Dorogon laughed coldly.

"What nonsense! Look at me, kiddo. I am a creature of Darkness, and I have defeated Eragon several times by now. That’s why you should choose Darkness instead."

As soon as Godking Dorogon spoke, Neo looked at the colossal figure of Godking Eragon, who was now staring intently at Dorogon.

Though Neo couldn’t see his face, he could imagine that Eragon must be furious by now.

"I won’t deny that, Dorogon. But you should also mention how many centuries ago you defeated me. I can clearly recall beating you to a pulp twice in this century alone," Eragon said, his voice turning fierce.

"Oh, that’s because I was showing mercy to you, my friend," the other one replied, not backing down.

"Humph.."

Not wanting to bicker like children, Eragon looked down at Neo and said confidently, "Choose Light, Neo Godson. Light shows you the way, while darkness only suffocates you."

"Don’t listen to him, kiddo. Choose Darkness. Darkness is primordial and eternal."

Seeing these two godly beings bicker like children, Neo sighed. But then, a thought crossed the deepest part of his mind, a place even Eragon couldn’t pry into.

Why should I bother choosing between these paths when I can fuse them both and create my own?

The sheer audacity of the thought would have angered Eragon and Dorogon to no end. To their understanding of million years, Light and Darkness could coexist, but they could never be fused into one.

This was an unbreakable law, even for gods.

To suggest a mortal could fuse these two extreme primordial forces was simply ridiculous and born of ignorance.

If anyone even tried, they would be punished horrifically. Not by the gods, but by the Heavenly Axiom itself, which governs the laws of the Infinite Realms.

However, to Neo, this was a possibility.

Since [ Universal Synthesis ] could combine anything, why couldn’t he fuse Light and Darkness?

He might not be able to do it now, but there would come a day when he would.

"Okay, I have decided," Neo announced loudly, making the two godly beings focus. "I will choose [ Godsmith ], and..."
