Hearing those words, Zephyr’s mind went blank for a moment as he remembered that he had actually eaten a bite out of that weird snake monster’s meat before.

Xinran shrugged her shoulders at that question and replied in a calm voice,

"I mean, nobody knows what kind of bizarre phenomena has taken over this world so I am no different; even I don’t know what happens exactly..."

"Even vampires are no exception to this rule."

Xinran looked straight into Zephyr’s eyes and spoke in a calm voice,

"Miasma and corruption affect everyone the same, be they humans or vampires; it’s a power that corrupts everyone and everything equally!"

"Once you fall into its hands, there’s no salvation for you anymore; it will make a mockery out of your very existence and will torment your soul for eternity!"

"You have a weirdly strong body, so maybe you are more resistant to the effects of miasmic corruption..."

"But even you will not be able to remain unscathed if you come in contact with something that has high density of miasma and corruption..."

Hearing those words, Zephyr narrowed his eyes and asked,

"Why are you telling me all this so easily though? Won’t it be beneficial for you to let me fall for Miasma’s tricks and die? I caused you to suffer after all..."

At that question, Xinran only shook her head and replied calmly,

"Believe me, nobody in the world deserves to suffer the fate of becoming a plaything for miasma. I know it because I have seen it all happen to my loved ones with my own eyes..."

"I know miasma in more detail than you can imagine. Also, It would be favourable if someone like you, who has such a powerful body doesn’t end up becoming a pawn of miasmic corruption as stopping you would be too much of a headache at that point..."

Xinran smiled as she put the empty pot down and spoke in a calm voice,

"You might even start hunting me, as miasma would amplify the inner hatred in your heart... I already have enough pursuers; I don’t need one more."
