Bro, I'm not an Undead!
Chapter 1748: Harnessing Every Trace (5)
The [Avant Atelier] shuddered with excitement. Maximum Jaqquezjaqqz, its child, fascinated it. Perhaps out of everything within Skullius' arsenal, the Exotic Parlous Nature was the only thing capable of competing with the jacket's eccentric capabilities.
'And that's the secret, isn't it?' thought Skullius, now stroking his chin with the cool, colorful highlights from his jacket dancing on his face. 'Andori are interesting and specific – the fastest way to upgrade technical skills for the average Divine expert – but they pale in comparison to Exotic Parlous Natures. Parlous Natures are more absolute and flexible. That's why the Primeval Deities are always chasing after them – why they probably don't care to upgrade Andori.'
Maybe it was a lesson they learned from studying the |Greater Cosmic Law|, which was akin to an extremely sophisticated Exotic Parlous Nature itself.
Thus, even though Skullius was satisfied with the properties of these two Andori he had acquired, he still saw a lot more potential with his own well of Exotic Parlous Natures and other odious abilities that didn't quite fit within the Common Reality Leagues.
Drawing from all the information he had extracted while inside the Second Layer of the Hatcher, he dipped his toes into yet another theory whose plausibility he hadn't confirmed.
'It is quite convenient that Maximum Jaqquezjaqqz can reinforce Andori mixed with it temporarily. Like Litte, it possesses bonding properties, though they pale in comparison,' thought the Hybrid, and he scratched his closed second pair of eyes. 'I gained access to different versions of my existing Andori earlier because of this, but I wonder if I can do more with that property…'
When fighting against the Doom Knight with Elita, Uyuniya, Kenno, Sila, and Aurolio, Skullius had infused Maximum Jaqquezjaqqz into [Ruining Cutter] and [Elusive Meta Carver] to create temporary Sage Tier versions of them, [Nonstandard Splicer] and [False Tickler] respectively.
(A/N: Refer to Ch.1358.)
While the Hybrid considered doing this again in the future to temporarily augment his existing Andori, he figured there was a better way to use this boon, as the prospect of temporary strength ground him the wrong way. It wasn't appetizing. He already had immense limitations on the War Body to worry about; thus, he wouldn't tolerate limits anywhere else.
'There are abilities that I rarely get to use – or rather, will rarely get to use – because they are either too weak, or too restricted. I might as well maximize their utility, even if in an unorthodox fashion.' He drew a picture in his mind, the Litte he was constantly running in his head prompting his thoughts to become clearer.
There were many of these abilities Skullius foresaw quickly becoming irrelevant.
First was his large cache of Exotic Parlous Natures that manipulated basic elements and concepts in varied but limited combinations: Maximum Combustion, Maximum Frost, Maximum Time, Maximum Pull, and Frigid Time.
Then there was Second Divine Sinew, the Parlous Nature that had birthed Future Skullius. Perhaps, if it was upgraded from the Realm rank, it would have more utility, but at present, Skullius couldn't use it on himself again so simply. Such an incredible duplication skill was better used in a qualitative fashion, rather than a quantitative one.
But then, there were Andori Skullius foresaw becoming harder to use with the advent of stronger enemies as well, like the [Legion Eyes], [Sagacious Antiphon of Dawnlight], and even the powerful [Forbidden Monastery of Black's Scion].
Indeed, the fact that Skullius felt this way about the latter two might have been vexing, especially considering the fact that these two particular Andori became exponentially more powerful when paired with the Physiques he received from TITEMIUS and JOISEN ANTERRAS: [Embodiment of Accelerant Starlight] and [Expanded Shadow Fiend's Leather].
But the truth was, Skullius had become just as skilled as Fulgardt when it came to manipulating darkness and light. The book marked with the Immoral's face had granted him all of the Fulgardt's powers, after all. Thus, any Andori that helped Skullius manipulate light and darkness in a certain way was now more or less irrelevant. The best these Andori could do was make Skullius use less effort in whatever machination he desired to enact.
…And that had its merits.
'I need a shape…'
Thus, Skullius started by producing a vast ward of darkness that almost encompassed the entire Timemould Mirror Box and then condensing it to about the size of a human head. The sheer density of the black mass, as it stood perfectly still in front of Skullius, fixed in the air, was daunting. It must have been about as heavy as the average world.
'Good. Now…'
Skullius did the same thing but with light. A moment later, he had two perfect spheres of darkness and light – one black and the other, golden-white.
He then infused them both with a hefty dose of Maximum Jaqquezjaqqz. The Parlous Nature would hold together everything he wanted these two masses to hold. Everything.
'Let's put you to good use too, shall we?'
Skullius imbued the two spheres with all of the Seeds of the Fruit of World Myths he had access to while in this state – the Default Body.
The Womb, which made structures practically unbreakable unless they were damaged a certain way. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
Master Cataract, which forced weaknesses on desired targets.
Crude World Injection, which allowed the user to project their consciousness into living vessels.
Exorbitance, which increased the damage dealt by the user by an exponential factor of 20.
All of them were strategically infused into the spheres.
…And then so were all the Exotic Parlous Natures.
Skullius then crafted a connection between the two spheres and three of his Andori: [Legion Eyes], [Sagacious Antiphon of Dawnlight], and [Forbidden Monastery of Black's Scion].
It was no easy task doing this. Skullius spent the better part of two hours weaving strands of Maximum Jaqquezjaqqz into something resembling a long array that spilled from his Broader Existence and into the spheres without being obvious to the eye. He employed darkness to hide it in the end, quite like he did with Apexis. The darkness hid, after all.
"Phew…" The King was sweating at the end of the effort, but it was done.
Inside the spheres, he had apportioned the Parlous Natures and Andori in an exemplary fashion. As a matter of fact, he designed their internal systems in a similar manner to how Rules worked within worlds. It was immaculate work.
But then the exterior also required work.
Thus, Skullius began molding them using his abundant Insurgent Magnus skill, sculpting light and darkness into refined, impressive, sovereign shapes.
As he did so, the guidance field chimed.
[You have accomplished yet another impossibility!]
[You have developed a curious mechanism with elements of the Common Reality Leagues, something never before seen in this Reality]
[You now have access to the 'Circuit of Impunity: In & Mu'!]
