Brand New Life Online: Rise Of The Goddess Of Harvest
Chapter 1902: Moving To Moguro Sky Garden
-----
As the girls left the house and returned to the academy, they found Elayne and Olivia already waiting inside. Elayne had likely teleported there in her spiritual form, while Olivia had arrived earlier. Elayne wore her cute teacher outfit, drawing stares from both boys and girls. Olivia received the same attention. Both women were incredibly beautiful, and their Canadian and European features were quite rare in this country, which only drew more eyes.
"Ah, Harumi!" Elena greeted her, running over to pull her into a hug and kiss her cheek. "Did you sleep well?"
"Yeah," Harumi nodded. She held Elena’s hand for a moment but quickly let go when Anna glared at her with a hint of jealousy.
"Are you girls ready?" Matsuo asked. "It will be an arduous day, but they say we can take the rest of the week easy if we do a good job today."
"I’m looking forward to seeing what these new monsters really are," Frank said. "I’ve been keeping a monster journal lately. They are always so interesting."
"Oh, I had no idea you were into that. That’s nice," Erika chuckled. "Anyway! Hey girls, what’s with the long faces? Cheer up! It’s hunting time! Don’t you love hunting?"
"Well, you’re a dog, so it makes sense. Not everyone is like you..." Elisa replied.
"Hah?! Wanna fight?!" Erika barked back.
As the friends chatted and laughed, growing closer with every passing day, the director and teachers stepped onto the stage to brief all the teams on their missions.
"Hello everyone! Thank you for coming today! Alright, let’s get straight to the main point!" Director Satoru announced, emerging from a black hole that opened in the sky. "The missions! I bet you are all curious about what you have to do, right? Yeah, me too!"
"WOOAAHHH!"
The students were always amazed by the incredible magic this man could wield. He landed gently on the floor and greeted everyone with a relaxed smile.
"Alright! I bet you all want to get to the point, and I am not here to give long sermons or inspiring speeches because I honestly do not know what to say anyway," he laughed. "So let’s get straight to it. I will call teams by their letters, and you will come to the front. You must draw one random paper from this glass cube. Whatever you get is what you get."
"W-Why random?" Anna asked boldly. Many students glared at her for speaking up.
"Ah, it is because we do not want anyone thinking we are favoring certain groups by giving them the easiest dungeon or the one with the most resources," Satoru explained. "We do the same with normal dungeons and gates for all students."
"I see..." Anna nodded.
"Alright! Team A!"
Team A was their group. Elena and Matsuo’s combined team. All eight of them walked to the front. After a quick agreement, Matsuo drew the paper since he was considered the luckiest in the group, blessed by Amaterasu.
He closed his eyes, licked his lips nervously, and pulled out one of the papers. Slowly unfolding it, he read the result aloud.
"Moguro Sky Garden..." Matsuo said. "Huh?! Moguro got hit with the Canvas Bleed too? I had no idea!"
"Ahhh, you got the biggest and meanest one. Oops," Satoru replied. "Well, you are all strong. I am sure you will do just fine, kids. Olivia and Elayne will supervise you, but they must stay outside and not intervene. This is also a test, after all."
As the group headed downstairs to discuss their destination, Elena asked what the place even was.
"Ah, Moguro Sky Garden?" Matsuo replied. "The Meguro Sky Garden is a unique eco-friendly rooftop park in Tokyo, built on a loop bridge connecting the Shibuya Route and Central Circular Route of the Shuto Expressway. It has a walking trail and garden space thirty-five meters above the ground, with beautiful views of the city skyline. It is a really nice place. A lot of tourists visit all the time. I am surprised you girls have not been there yet."
"We have not had much time to go out, as you can see," Anna sighed.
"Yeah, but this sounds exciting," Monica nodded. She has become more talkative lately.
"It does, but isn’t it too large?" Elena asked, checking the location on her phone. "It is huge...! Are monsters everywhere? It reminds me of the time I went to the mall with my friends..."
"Yeah, it is a big place," Erika laughed. "Heheh, don’t you want to check it out though? It might be empty now. Maybe we can grab some stuff from the shops—"
"That is shoplifting and a crime," Harumi glared at her friend with sharp red eyes.
"Hah?! If they abandoned it, it is free!" Erika protested.
"They did not abandon it. They had to evacuate," Harumi corrected. "I just checked on my phone. It says the place was hit by a supernatural singularity. The information is on the small museum they built inside..."
"Museum?" Elena wondered.
"Oh yeah, I remember it," Frank said with a gentle smile. "We went there for a date last year. Remember?"
"Yeah, it was nice," Harumi smiled at her boyfriend and gave him a quick kiss. "A-Anyway, ahem! S-Sorry... Uh, as I was saying, it is a small museum that appears once or twice a year. It has a bit of everything."
"Is that where the phenomenon is happening?" Monica asked, tilting her head.
"Yeah, looks like it," Erika nodded. "Alright! Shall we get going? Did you all have breakfast?"
"We did!" Elena replied.
"Then there is no point wasting time here. Let’s get to it!" Erika declared, marching ahead as if she were the leader instead of Matsuo or Elena.
As they walked outside, they met Anna’s mother emerging from the Domain and heading toward the gym. She waved at them warmly.
Olivia and Elayne were already waiting outside the Amaterasu Clan territory.
"Alright, boys and girls. Are we ready?" Olivia asked.
"Should we fly there?" Elayne wondered.
"Heh, Elayne, Elayne... Don’t you know your friend here is super rich? Leave it to me~" Olivia winked.
The group quickly climbed into the limousine Olivia had brought with her personal driver and headed toward the Moguro Sky Garden.
Elena and her friends marveled at the Tokyo scenery from the windows, while Matsuo’s team stared in awe at the luxurious limousine itself, complete with fancy features, drinks, and snacks.
After a few minutes, they finally reached their destination.
"Wow! So this is the Moguro Sky Garden?!" Elayne exclaimed. "It is so beautiful, and it is full of nature!"
"Yeah," Olivia nodded. "Elayne, make sure to behave properly. You are a teacher now, and this is also a test. You have to remain impartial."
"O-Oh! Okay, I got this, Olivia. Don’t worry," Elayne replied with a cute, motherly smile that always made Olivia blush a little.
"I hope so..." Olivia sighed, crossing her arms and looking away.
