Born Sacred
Chapter 173: The Disaster Are Retreating I
"Is that your innate ability? It works well for ambushes."
Noah sneered and threw a punch.
Vex was still suffering from the backlash of his failed ability. The expression on his face mirrored Draal’s.
Pure disbelief.
His fate was no different.
He was killed by a single punch.
Bone Lord Karth’s figure instantly vanished.
He had no intention of fighting. He turned and fled without hesitation.
The strength Noah had displayed had completely shaken him.
Vex and Draal were the strongest beneath him in the Netherbone Civilization. Yet in front of Ronan Stoneheart, they had been effortlessly crushed.
Even if he was stronger than them, he would only last one or two more moves.
More importantly, something was wrong.
Very wrong.
Vex’s innate ability was SSS grade. Its most terrifying aspect was its ability to silently invade a target’s body. Once it entered, the damage varied, but the invasion itself could not be stopped.
And yet, against Noah, it had failed at the very first step.
What kind of defense was that?
And that was not all.
Noah was clearly in a burst state.
At their level, burst abilities were common. The stronger the amplification, the shorter the duration.
Most lasted only seconds.
But Noah’s state had already lasted more than thirty seconds.
Something was completely off. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
Bone Lord Karth fled at full speed.
One minute.
He only needed one minute to escape this world.
The moment he realized the danger, he activated his inter world teleportation device.
Returning required the same process. It took one full minute to lock onto coordinates and open a spatial channel.
Under normal circumstances, one minute was nothing.
But now, it felt like an eternity.
"Trying to run."
Noah did not chase.
Instead, he drew back his fist.
"Mountain River Collapse."
A terrifying force erupted.
The void itself seemed to collapse.
A massive fist imprint devoured everything in its path, tearing through the sky and blasting beyond the atmosphere before slowly dissipating into space.
In the air, a cloud of blood mist spread.
Bone Lord Karth had been fast.
But not fast enough.
He died instantly.
After dealing with the three members of the Netherbone Civilization, Noah’s Absolute Defense state still had not ended.
He calmly exited his Destruction Form and returned to normal.
Then he looked toward Sally.
She stood there, stunned.
The power Noah had displayed had shaken her completely.
Now, as he turned his gaze toward her, she slowly exhaled and relaxed.
She understood clearly.
Even at her peak, she would not have been his opponent.
Let alone now, when she was heavily injured.
"Who are you?"
Sally’s voice was solemn.
"Auron said that you concealed the name of your civilization."
Hiding the name of one’s civilization usually meant not wanting others to know it.
Generally, only civilizations with farming tendencies would do this.
Their reputation was often poor. If their actions were not clean and their identity was exposed, they would easily become targets of collective hostility. That was why they chose to conceal their names.
However, what puzzled Sally was something else.
Bone Lord Karth and the others, who had just tried to kill her, had not hidden their civilization’s identity.
Yet Ronan Stoneheart, the one who had saved her, had chosen to conceal his.
"I am Ronan Stoneheart, Child of Civilization of the Mountain Yue Civilization."
Noah smiled as he spoke.
Sally looked at him deeply.
She understood that he did not intend to reveal more, so she did not press further.
"Regardless, I still have to thank you for saving my life," Sally said sincerely.
In her injured state, she had no confidence in holding off Bone Lord Karth and Vex for even one minute.
She had already prepared herself to die, determined to take at least one of them down with her.
It was Noah’s intervention that saved her.
"No need to thank me. Just clean up the aftermath," Noah replied calmly.
He had chosen to save her for two reasons.
First, Sally was from the Dawn Civilization.
Second, he needed someone to handle what came next.
The Dawn Civilization was known as a Saint Mother type civilization.
This was not a negative label. They did not go as far as sacrificing themselves blindly, but they were genuinely committed to helping others and had supported many civilizations.
From Noah’s perspective, it was better for such civilizations to exist.
Secondly, the current state of the Purple Profound Civilization was nothing short of chaos.
Auron had been killed, and the Purple Profound Civilization no longer had any Fourth Order experts.
Their population had also been reduced to only a few hundred thousand.
With such weakened strength, dealing with five Disasters was extremely difficult, let alone ending them completely.
When Noah and the others came to provide support, success would earn them contribution points.
What counted as success?
Naturally, it meant resolving the Disaster faced by that civilization.
In other words, closing all spatial passages.
It wan not easy to obtain Contribution Points.
Ending a Disaster required a considerable amount of time.
However, under normal circumstances, a civilization was not completely helpless. As long as the rescuers eliminated the greatest threats, the remaining Disaster intensity would fall within what civilization could handle. From there, they could deal with it gradually.
At that point, the rescuers could withdraw.
Once the civilization fully resolved the Disaster, the Contribution Points would be credited accordingly.
But the situation of the Purple Profound Civilization was different.
If Noah and others left now, it was almost certain that the civilization would be destroyed by the five Disasters.
Were they supposed to remain here until everything was completely resolved.
One of the Disaster had already lasted an entire year.
Noah did not have that kind of time to waste.
He would rater give up the Contribution Points.
Fortunately, Sally from the Dawn Civilization was still there.
Sally looked at Noah and spoke firmly.
"I will remain here until all five Disasters are completely resolved."
"Good."
Next, the two inspected the spatial passages across the planet.
To their surprise, dozens of these passages, including three Third Order passages, were slowly shrinking. No more monsters were emerging from them.
