Chapter 171: Didn’t expect this, Lady Sally

After nearly a day, and by occasionally activating his Insight Talent, Noah had developed a clearer understanding of the five Disasters invading the Purple Profound Civilization.

The five types of monsters attacking this world, along with the Disasters behind them, were all classified as Small Calamities.

Disasters were categorized based on their threat level to the All Heavens and Myriad Realms: Small, Medium, Large, and Super Large.

Super Large Calamities, such as the Abyss and the Void Swarm, posed an immense threat to the entire cosmos. They had destroyed countless worlds, using them as fuel for their growth and reaching unimaginable levels of power.

From these Super Large Calamities, numerous Large and Medium Calamities had branched out.

For example, the Demonized Monsters were a lower-tier extension of the Abyss. While they originated from a Super Large Calamity, when classified independently, their threat level fell under Medium Calamities. Even so, they had already destroyed numerous worlds and were engaged in continuous conflict with many Awakened and Extraordinary Worlds.

Any Disaster that branched off from a Super Large Calamity was, at minimum, classified as Medium.

Aside from these Super Large Calamities and the Medium and Large Calamities that branch from them, there are also numerous scattered Disasters throughout the All Heavens and Myriad Realms.

These scattered Disasters are far weaker than Super Large Calamities. The strongest among them only reach the Medium level, and the intensity of the invasions they initiate is typically no higher than a Human-Level Calamity.

The five Disasters invading the Purple Profound Civilization are all Small Calamities, and triggering a Ghost-Level Calamity is already their limit.

That was why Noah believed they likely lacked the ability to reinforce spatial passages.

"The luck of the Purple Profound Civilization... it’s hard to say whether it’s good or bad."

Noah couldn’t help but sigh inwardly.

On one hand, their luck was terrible. They had been targeted by multiple Disasters, pushing their civilization to the brink of destruction. While part of the reason was their failure to deal with the first Disaster in time, which led to a vicious cycle, it still reflected their misfortune.

On the other hand, their luck could also be considered good.

Including the first Ghost-Level Calamity, all the Disasters they encountered were scattered ones.

Unlike Blue Star...

Its first Ghost-Level Calamity involved Demonized Monsters, and the second was an Aberrant Disaster, both far more dangerous.

Demonized Monsters were fundamentally incompatible with Awakened Worlds.

But not all Disasters were like that.

What about scattered Disasters?

Were they also inherently hostile to Awakened Worlds?

Would the Purple Profound Civilization truly face a Human-Level Calamity three years later?

Medium-level scattered Disasters did possess the capability to launch Human-Level Calamities. However, whether they would actually do so remained uncertain.

At least, that was Noah’s judgment.

Thinking along these lines, Noah was slightly startled.

Could it be... the Purple Profound Civilization might actually survive?

As long as they managed to overcome the current five Ghost Level Calamities.

"If that’s the case..."

A thought stirred in Noah’s mind.

He realized that both the Netherbone Civilization and the Dawn Civilization had likely reached the same conclusion.

Originally, this had been a doomed civilization, with little value even for exploitation. But it it could survive and was unlikely to face a Human Level Calamity in the future, then everything would change.

With that in mind, Noah quickly led his group toward the rendezvous point.

At that moment, Sally and Auron stood before a spatial passage.

"Lady Sally, all the Fourth Order Monsters on the planet have been eliminated. The remaining monsters are no longer a serious threat. As long as we stay cautious, we don’t need to worry about Fourth Order Monsters coming through the spatial passages anymore."

Auron’s face was filled with uncontrollable excitement.

"Lady Sally, thank you. You have saved the Purple Profound Civilization."

It takes time for Fourth Order monsters to pass through a spatial passage.

By taking advantage of this window, the Purple Profound Civilization could concentrate all its strength to eliminate them one by one.

Although they could not claim to be completely safe, the situation was far better than before. For the first time, Auron saw hope for his civilization’s survival.

"It is not just my contribution," Sally said calmly.

"Where are Bone Lord Karth and the others?"

"Vex and Draal are in the southern hemisphere, and Ronan Stoneheart is still several thousand kilometers away. However, Bone Lord Karth is heading toward us. He may want to discuss something with you, Lady Sally," Auron replied.

"Alone?"

Sally stood in her armor, her expression unchanged.

Not long after, they saw Bone Lord Karth approaching.

"Stop."

Sally’s voice turned cold.

"Haha, Lady Sally, you misunderstand. I only came to ask whether the Dawn Civilization has a way to forcibly close the spatial passages. If not, we are preparing to leave," Bone Lord Karth said with a smile, and he indeed stopped moving forward.

"I..."

Just as Sally was about to respond, her gaze suddenly sharpened.

In the next instant, Bone Lord Karth’s figure vanished.

"So you were planning something all along," Sally said calmly.

She had clearly anticipated this.

The moment Bone Lord Karth disappeared, she swung her flaming greatsword. A terrifying force tore through the void and forced him out of hiding.

Bone Lord Karth was no match. He was sent flying, a deep gash tearing across his body.

"Damn Breeder..."

Just as Sally spread her light wings and prepared to pursue, a terrifying force struck her from behind.

Caught off guard, she spat out a mouthful of blood. The armor on her back shattered, and she was heavily injured.

Sally turned around in disbelief.

"Didn’t expect this, Lady Sally."

A cold voice came from Auron.

"You... you are not Auron."

Sally’s eyes sharpened as she realized the truth.

Auron’s figure flickered, then transformed into another member of the Netherbone Civilization, Vex.

"Not good. Ronan Stoneheart is in danger."

Sally’s expression changed.

Since Auron was fake, everything he said earlier was naturally false.

And since the Netherbone Civilization had chosen to attack her, they would never spare Ronan Stoneheart.

Otherwise, if even one survivor escaped and reported this in the Civilization Convergence Zone, the Netherbone Civilization would face destruction. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

"You should worry about yourself, Daughter of Light," Bone Lord Karth said coldly. "Your head is worth quite a lot."
