Staying in that void was something that made Shuu lose track of time. Due to the drugs that were still lingering in his system, Shuu remained lethargic and not able to regain his balance.

Every time he tried to notice where he was, that strong and sweet smell came back and forced his senses under.

This was as revolting as it was fascinating for him. And also, it was so hard to breathe-

He was suffocating under all this pressure.

"Sir, are you sure we should be doing this? Aren’t there too many drugs? I know that you think there is no danger, but still..."

"Don’t be a pussy. That guy is all bound up like that. Do you think he has what it takes to come out and attack us? The most he can do is regain his balance. And even that would be difficult for him to do in his current state."

Shuu tried his best to concentrate on the ongoing conversation. But the world around him was moving too fast...

But wasn’t he sitting? Then what were these swirling colors around him...? His body was swaying and his head was killing him. He needed to sit down and regain his thoughts for a bit.

"Hey boss, are you sure we are not overdoing it? His complexion does not look good and his body is swaying. I am afraid that he might permanently hurt himself like this."

"Don’t be ridiculous. Humans don’t get hurt as easily as you think they do. Now, help me hold him down so that I can check out his guiding."

Hesitant hands grabbed Shuu, but that hold became more and more confident every second. It felt annoying to have those hands touching Shuu, so he tried to struggle.

But the more confident hands gripped his face and made him turn toward the person who had grabbed him.

"Don’t struggle too much, or you will damage your precious face. Now, shall we know what your superior S-class guiding can do?"

The speaker was threatening to walk a dangerous line, and Shuu was feeling his irritation bubbling under his skin. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦

He gritted his teeth as he looked up, but his covered eyes were not very threatening.

The esper holding him down began to squeeze the guiding out of him and let out a content sigh.

"Ah, this is nice. This is what I need. Clean and pure guiding...hey, what are you doing? Stop...! Slow down and stop right now..."

The speaker’s voice suddenly went hoarse, and he tried to pull back, only to see huge amounts of energy leaving his body.

Shuu’s grip was tight, and instead of his energy flowing out, he started to instinctively pull it back.

This was the case of reverse guiding, but a novice like him did not know what it was called. He just knew that this was what he needed to do in order to make the other side back off.

Shuu would have kept going had a sharp slap not knocked him out of his headspace and made him realize what he was doing.

He finally looked up, only to be met with darkness and a trembling voice.

"This fucker almost killed me. We cannot present someone this untrained to our precious customers. It seems like we will need to train him first before we can make use of him. Hey, get me that paddle-"

Shuu could feel his power growing. The guiding felt like a second skin for him, and he could feel his senses reaching out and grabbing the nearby esper and choking him.

And that was not all. Shuu could also feel his energy acting like limbs and forcing the other esper to stand up and do as Shuu wanted him to.

He could move the esper around as he wanted and also force him to do things against his will.

"Hey, what are you doing? I asked you to hold that guide down-Hey, stop it!"

The second esper yelled as the first one (being controlled by Shuu) attacked him and almost killed him. Luckily for the second esper, he barely managed to survive. But he did not look happy.

"You-!"

Shuu felt a thrill of pleasure and shock go through his body after what just happened. He had never expected he would be able to influence someone to this degree.

’Did I...do it? Did I control that guy as if he was my own limbs? I don’t think I have ever felt satisfied before.’

Unfortunately, Shuu’s body was not able to handle the pressure of this power for long. His head was starting to throb, and he had a feeling that he would be in trouble if he did not let go soon.

Shuu wanted to be stubborn, but his body made the decision for him quickly. His hold on the other man broke, and Shuu panted to get his breath under control.

The other people gasped as well once they finally had control of their limbs back.

The sound of that slap was loud, and it was followed by fighting.

"What do you think you were doing?"

"I am sorry. I don’t even know what came over me. My body was moving on its own, and before I knew it-"

"Do you think that’s a good enough excuse on your end? You almost killed me. You will have to answer for this...otherwise..."

Shuu remained out of this trouble because no one could even start to guess that he was the reason behind this fighting.

But as much as he felt thrilled with his newfound powers, he felt scared at the same time. It felt like this was something he should not be doing.

’I will only use this until I get out of this place. Once I am out, I won’t have any reason to look back or use this power.’

That was something Shuu said to convince himself. But honestly, he was not so sure about it anymore. Something in his subconscious told him that he wouldn’t be able to hold back for long.
