[BL]The Hero and his Party Won't Let Me Go

Shuu had all intentions of having a talk with Kris once he got time, but he did not get the chance to talk to him for a long time.

Before he knew it, it was time to head back to his room, and Kris was nowhere to be seen. And the next day was Rin’s entrance day, so Shuu needed to focus on him.

Rin looked nervously at Shuu. He clearly did not want to go to the academy if it meant being away from Shuu, but he was still being brave because Shuu had asked him to be.

"Are you afraid of the academy? There is no need for you to be afraid. Most people here are just like you... just a lot weaker. As long as you make sure you don’t hurt someone, it should be alright for you to do what you enjoy."

It was fine even if Rin did hurt someone. Shuu would do everything in his power to protect him because that’s what families did.

Rin looked startled by Shuu’s reassurance, and he nervously looked at the door of the room he and Shuu were assigned. The child’s gaze looked heavy and filled with the burden he had to carry.

But determination filled that face soon enough, and he nodded at Shuu. Finally, it was time for them to leave for the academy.

Secretary Ann was waiting for them just outside their room. He looked ready to knock but stopped once he noticed that Shuu and Rin were already out.

"Are you ready to head out?"

He asked, and Shuu nodded. His grip tightened around Rin’s hand, and he suddenly did not want Rin to head to school.

’Ah, maybe the one who does not want Rin to leave is me. Am I the problem here?’

What a sudden twist it would be. But Shuu could not be a hindrance to Rin’s future. So, with a sinking heart and a determined face, Shuu stepped forward.

"Let’s go."

"S-Secretary Ann, what an honor it is to have you here again. This is the child you talked about? He looks adorable... but a little weak. Are you sure he would be able to adapt to the academy?"

The academy head had called for Rin’s teacher to introduce them to each other. He usually did not do such a thing, but he decided to do so because of Secretary Ann’s presence.

The teacher looked beyond happy to make a connection with Secretary Ann, but her face was filled with concern as soon as she looked at Rin.

"Don’t underestimate Rin. He might look innocent and weak, but he might have even more power than Sir Yuri. We have high hopes for him, so I hope you will pay special attention to him."

Secretary Ann stressed these words so that the teacher would understand. His words startled her, and she gave Rin another look filled with pity and curiosity.

Suddenly, she wanted to see what Rin could do, and she started to use her powers to try and get him to react.

It was an instant reaction from Rin. As soon as her powers started to rise, Rin squirmed in his place and looked incredibly sick. At first, it did not seem as if he was about to do anything. But then his eyes met the teacher’s, and she gasped before taking a step back.

Those eyes... they looked ready to devour her and throw her out if it did not work. It made breathing harder for her, and she felt her head throbbing.

’W-What is going on here? Am I feeling fear? I... what is this kid?’

The teacher gasped for breath and almost lost her balance, but warm arms caught her before she could hit her head.

Guiding started to flow inside her body, and it was warm and soothing. It was washing away her fatigue, and she had never felt like this before.

’More... I need... more...’

The teacher was greedy for guiding... all espers were. But this was the kind of guiding that you could not get enough of. Not only did the teacher want more, but she wanted to monopolize it so that she was the only one who could get it.

Her hands tightened around the body holding her, and she looked up and gasped.

"M-More-! I need... a little more..."

The teacher was not aware of her actions. All she knew was that she needed to get close to the source of that comfort and get lost in it.

She was so close when-

"Teacher, I think that’s enough. Maybe we should look for another teacher if you are going to be this unprofessional."

Secretary Ann pulled her back, and her consciousness returned as soon as she was away from Shuu.

A flush overtook the teacher’s face as soon as she realized what she had just done.

"I... that is..."

She tried to make an excuse, but her throat did not work properly. She was having a hard time explaining what just happened.

What face did she have to look at the two people in front of her after what she just did? Not only were the adults annoyed by her, but she could also feel the young esper’s dark eyes looking at her with unspoken emotions.

It made her afraid to stand there, but she had nowhere else to go either.

In the end, the first one to move and forgive her was Shuu. He placed a hand on her shoulder, and that pleasant feeling returned.

"I don’t know what just happened with you, but I am going to leave my son with you. I will trust you to keep him safe and guide him in the future. If you need anything, then please don’t hesitate to ask me either."

That hand pulled back, and the teacher wanted to complain and ask Shuu to put it back on her shoulder. She wanted to bask in the feeling more...

Unfortunately, it was time for the adults to leave and for the academy to begin.
