[BL]The Hero and his Party Won't Let Me Go - Chapter 245: Ch : How did this dungeon open?
"Sorry kid, we have nothing against you. But since you are a part of the Survivor’s Guild, it automatically makes you precious to us. We will have you come back with us for now."
The would-be kidnapper yelled as he tried to grab Shuu. But something slammed into him before either he or his partner could get to Shuu.
Both espers had a bad feeling, and they looked down, only to see Rin looking at them with blank eyes. The kid raised his hand, and the force slamming into the kidnappers threw them far away.
Shuu looked on with a shocked face. What happened slowly registered in his mind, and the first thing Shuu did was kneel down beside Rin to check up on him.
"Rin, are you alright? Does anything hurt? You are doing fine, right?"
Shuu asked as he looked Rin all over. But thankfully, Rin looked completely fine. The build-up of toxins in his body had not progressed with such a small use of his powers.
"I am fine. But can I have some guiding?"
Rin asked in a small voice, and Shuu had no heart to refuse him anything. He grabbed the kid’s hand and pressed his calming presence into Rin’s mind.
The kid’s shoulders immediately sagged in relief, and he closed his eyes. Shuu kept doing this for some time before he decided to check up on the pair Rin had slammed hard against the other side of the alley.
The pair was knocked out, and it did not look like they were about to regain their consciousness anytime soon. It made Shuu sigh, and he picked up his phone to make a call.
"I will inform Secretary Ann of what happened here. Hopefully, he will be able to help us out."
That was what Shuu wanted. But Secretary Ann did not pick up the phone. In fact, his phone was not even connecting to anything and just kept on ringing and ringing.
"How weird. Maybe the secretary is busy at the moment." 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
Shuu complained as he put the phone down and decided to walk out of the alley with Rin. But his senses picked up something else quickly.
It was a small but pinkish feeling beneath his skin that made his senses become sharp all of a sudden. He had a feeling that danger was about to come his way if he did not walk out of the alley.
So Shuu decided to head out. He left the unconscious pair behind, not caring whether they lived or died.
Only once did he look behind and notice the surge of purple starting to form in the alley. Lightning crashed around it, and Shuu quickly grabbed Rin’s hand to run away from it.
"Shuu, what is that?"
Rin asked with a fascinated look in his eyes. He was attracted to that pretty purple color, but Shuu only knew of one thing that could cause such a phenomenon to occur.
"That must be a dungeon outbreak. No matter how pretty it looks, it is too dangerous for us to go near. So you should keep your distance from it as well, Rin."
Rin nodded, but his eyes kept looking behind them until they returned to safety.
Once they were safe, Shuu felt like he could think again, and he decided that he needed to inform someone about this dungeon break. But unfortunately, the only person he could think of at the moment was busy...
"Should we report to the police?"
Rin asked, and Shuu felt stupid for not thinking of this before.
The police would likely not be able to help them out much, but they could inform the espers to take care of it.
So Shuu headed toward the nearest police station and rushed inside.
The officers looked startled by his presence, but they quickly greeted him and welcomed him inside.
"Welcome, sir. How can we help you?"
The officer in charge asked, and Shuu took a deep breath to calm himself down before he spoke once more.
"T-There is a dungeon break...not too far from here. cough W-We ran away before we could be in danger, but some people are stuck nearby."
Shuu informed the officer, and the officer blinked at him before he realized how serious the situation was.
"Wait! What did you say? A dungeon break? We need to check—hey, you, check the readings..."
The police office got busy all of a sudden as everyone got to work. Shuu had never felt this useless and useful at the same time. He did not know what he was supposed to do in the office.
Thankfully, the officer noticed his awkwardness and decided to guide him along.
"Sir, please sit for now. Would you like some water? Or something else to calm down? We will take care of this dungeon and save everyone. Please don’t worry about it."
Was Shuu worried? Not really. Things like dungeon breaks did not feel real to him for some reason, so it was hard for him to feel anything about it. But for some reason, he was feeling rather numb at the moment.
He sat down and clutched Rin’s hand. He did not know whether it was to comfort himself or the younger child.
The officer kept making calls, and his expression kept turning more and more grim, until finally, he looked relieved and gave Shuu a small smile.
"It will all be fine now. I have contacted a guild to come and deal with the dungeon. They will be here soon. What would you like to do in the meantime?"
The officer asked, trying to slowly inch his way closer and closer to Shuu’s shoulder. Shuu had not noticed this until now because he was too busy with the situation. But he did not like how this officer was using the situation to try and flirt with him.
Shuu quickly stood up and decided that it was time for him to head back home.
"Is this situation resolved? That’s good. I can head back in peace now. Thank you for your help, officer."
