Through William, Alex learned that some Union explorers had encountered dark beasts while exploring and suspected that the place could be a hideout for people from the Dark Union.

Considering how dangerous and hidden the surroundings were, they speculated that the members of the Dark Union in that place would not be weak. Therefore, they had reported back and Maria had gone with them to check it out, along with two elders who were at the Sage mage rank.

Alex had asked if William knew the location of the place so he would head there to take a look, could it be that the baldy had been discovered while preparing for their mission that was supposed to be carried out next week?

But William didn’t know the location, so Alex had no other choice but to wait for Maria to come back.

Instead of just sitting around and waiting for Maria to return, Alex left the Union building and went to farm exp points in the meantime. He now had over eight hundred exp points, he wanted to gather up to two million before attempting to craft a spell that was similar to the ability which the Void Knight used the last time.

While using Blink and Void Walk to travel into the wild, a thought suddenly struck Alex.

He could try crafting the spell and know the exact amount of exp points that was required!

Alex came to a stop in a random spot and landed on the soft grass of an open field that stretched for a few hundred meters before ending at the base of a mountain.

He facepalmed.

"Idiot, why didn’t I think of this?" He sighed before summoning the system and entering the crafting function.

Alex silently picked the space element. After which the system showed the options to auto-craft or customise crafting. Alex picked customised crafting, the invisible screen changed and the system asked him to describe the spell that he wanted to craft.

Alex then explained the spell that he had in mind based on what the Void Knight had done the last time, that spell had allowed it to escape from Alex’s lightning prison without struggling even a bit.

After he finished giving the description, the system sent a notification that it was crafting and Alex should wait.

Since he was done with the process, Alex closed the system interface and continued going deeper into the Wild while waiting for the results of his crafting.

He had barely moved ten kilometres from his previous stop when the notification from the system popped up, his spells were ready!

Alex came to a stop as a blue screen appeared in front of him with a long list of spells that had similar functions to what he had described. The spells ranged from the Expert mage rank to the Saint mage rank.

Ignoring anything below the Sage mage rank, Alex started reading the details of the spells and the amount of exp points needed to craft them.

After reading for almost a minute, Alex finally decided on the spell that he was going to craft.

What an odd description, it felt more like he was reading information about a cultivation art instead of a magic spell description. Also, the price for it was a bit shocking but Alex understood why.

A spell that was able to do all of these was a complete cheat! Even if he couldn’t attack, nothing could stop him from leaving.

Not even space blocking formations that were capable of stopping teleportation!

After making up his mind, Alex withdrew the system and resumed moving forward.

Twenty million exp points were a lot but Alex could do it. After all, he didn’t have anything else he was using them for since he already reached the Saint rank.

Time passed quickly, and later that day. Alex had stopped farming exp as evening was approaching, he summoned his system to check his progress.

Some time later. Alex arrived at Brandvel City and used Void Walk to enter the Union building. This time, Maria was in her office.

The woman was holding a square-shaped magic item in one of her hands and was pouring mana into it when Alex suddenly appeared.

Seeing the familiar black robe, Maria wasn’t surprised and calmly stopped what she was doing before standing up.

"Hello, sorry I wasn’t around earlier when you came. William told me that you were looking for me." She said with a tired smile.

Alex glanced at the magic item for a brief moment and moved his gaze away after reading the information about it from the all-knowing mask, he wasn’t interested in it.

"No need to apologize, what happened to the people of the Dark Union?" Alex waved one of his hands and asked while moving towards a nearby seat.

Maria sighed and sat down as well before speaking.

"Turned out that the members of the Dark Union had also spotted the Union explorers, they had already fled before we got there. What we met was an empty hideout full of traps.

Luckily, our team had only those above the Archmage rank so no one was hurt." Maria paused before adding that they also found a bunch of corpses and captives who were in near-death states.

"Those who were rescued are currently still receiving treatment." She sighed again at the end of her words.

"Hmm, I see." Was all Alex replied with.

Maria glanced at him for a moment and then asked why he was looking for her.

"I want you to contact President Lucas for me, tell him to get through to President Shin Lu of the third continent," Alex said casually.

Maria’s expression didn’t change, she already knew that Mr Chen was searching for some items and one of them was on the third continent.

"I can do that, when do you want me to contact him?" She asked.

"Right now," Alex replied.
