Chapter 381: Kingu’s Arrival, A Meeting Between Sister and Sister-in-Law?
Chapter 33: Kingu’s Arrival, A Meeting Between Sister and Sister-in-Law?
Time never stops; the seasons continue to turn. Years pass like arrows, and youth vanishes in the blink of an eye. Before they knew it, over a month had slipped away.
During this month, Akira remained in Quetzalcoatl’s territory. After all, a goddess who could be both spoiled and enchanting was hard to leave.
On the other hand, under the rampage of the Magical Beasts, nearly eighty percent of Mesopotamia had been captured. This percentage was even higher than the original timeline. The reason was simple: with Akira’s help, Kingu had completed her transformation, becoming a completely different entity from her original self.
With the help of Tiamat’s authority borrowed by Akira, Kingu’s body had been reshaped. It was as if she had perfectly inherited everything from her previous "vessel," including memories and other aspects. Supplemented by the power of the Holy Grail, Kingu’s strength was now firmly at the top of the hierarchy in Mesopotamia.
Meanwhile, the situation in Uruk was becoming increasingly dire. Every day, the king had to handle endless matters, both large and small. Even the great power of the "Wedge of Heaven" was starting to buckle under the pressure. Not to mention, this workload had been going on for half a year. Gilgamesh was currently in his weakest state in history.
As for Ereshkigal, the final member of the Three Goddess Alliance who had yet to reveal herself, she continued to harvest human lives across the land, gathering their souls into her grasp. Although her original intention was to protect them—believing that as long as the soul was safe, the human was saved—it was a grim task.
During this month, Akira had tried to get closer to the Goddess of the Underworld, but he couldn’t find an opening. Even after visiting several cities that worshiped Ereshkigal, he gained nothing by nightfall. Although the Underworld was located directly beneath Mesopotamia, finding the entrance was no easy feat.
Akira had even considered looking for Ishtar to see if her body would be taken over by Ereshkigal at night, allowing him to see the other side. The idea was good, but the reality was cruel. For over a month, Ishtar seemed to have vanished from the face of the earth. Akira searched for a long time but never found her. Perhaps the goddess was avoiding him. After all, during their last encounter, Ishtar had nearly lost her "purity."
"What is my little Master doing?"
A pair of smooth arms wrapped around him from behind, circling Akira’s neck. A moment later, the beautiful goddess pressed herself against his back. Compared to a month ago, Quetzalcoatl’s wild madness and aggression had vanished without a trace.
What remained was a deep, lingering affection. Yes, she had fallen for the male god who had defeated and then "possessed" her. There is a saying: the fastest way to a woman’s heart is through her body. Akira didn’t know if that was true for everyone, but for Quetzal, it was the absolute truth. She was now incredibly clingy.
Once you have a taste, you’ll keep wanting more—that was the perfect description of Quetzalcoatl right now.
"The time is almost here," Akira said. "The storm of this era is about to arrive."
"Ah, it seems my body can no longer hold onto my little Master, huh?"
"Don’t exaggerate, Quetzal. We’re both in the same boat."
For an older-sister-type goddess, claiming she wasn’t tempted would be a lie. It’s often said that men are lustful, but when a woman begins to feel desire, she is by no means inferior to a man. Since Akira arrived, Quetzalcoatl had hardly stepped outside. More accurately, she no longer went out to "wrestle." Her entire focus was now on him. Matters of the heart and body had become her new hobby.
"There is still plenty of time ahead. You’ve already been marked by me. You are the goddess who belongs to me forever."
"True. Everything about me belongs to my little Master."
"How many times do I have to tell you? Don’t call me ’little.’ You know better than anyone that I’m not."
"Ah, but I really can’t help it! Every time I say it, you always want to prove me wrong by refilling my magical energy, so Onee-san just has to keep doing it~"
"I—"
Akira glanced at the goddess. You’re the Feathered Serpent, the Goddess of Venus, even a Sun Goddess... but you’re definitely not a Goddess of Love.
Involuntarily, Akira was reminded of the two Goddesses of Love in Orario. One was more "extraordinary" than the other.
Suddenly, a loud Boom! echoed through the area as an unknown object crashed down right in front of them. The impact sent a powerful tremor through the ground, kicking up a massive cloud of dust.
"Who goes there!"
In an instant, Quetzalcoatl’s face turned as cold as ice. The thing she hated most was being interrupted while being intimate with her Master. Because of this, even the Jaguar Man didn’t dare approach the temple anymore.
"Quetzalcoatl..." a cold voice called out.
Quetzalcoatl narrowed her eyes. The voice sounded familiar, as if she had heard it somewhere before, but she couldn’t quite place it. Akira, however, tilted his head slightly. He recognized that voice instantly.
As the dust settled, a figure dressed in white and green stood before them. With long emerald-green hair, deep purple eyes, and a perfect silhouette, it was Kingu—who had now transformed into a beauty that combined purity with an undeniable allure.
"Are you... Kingu?" Quetzalcoatl was stunned.
In a sense, the Three Goddess Alliance had been formed because of Kingu. Although she acted as the "child" on Gorgon’s side, anyone with half a brain could see she was the one truly pulling the strings. How had she suddenly turned into such a beautiful woman in such a short time?
"Onii-chan."
After giving Quetzal a brief glance, Kingu bowed her head slightly toward Akira and greeted him respectfully.
"Onii-chan? Master, what is the meaning of this?" Quetzalcoatl was completely blindsided.
What did this mean? Her little Master was actually the older brother of Gorgon’s "child"? Did that mean he also intended to wipe out humanity? As a goddess of goodness, her first reaction was rejection. She loved humans and would never allow such a thing to happen.
But if it were true, would she really be able to raise a hand against her own Master? Her status was now that of his subordinate goddess. She was no longer the one in control.
"I am the son of Mother Tiamat, Shin Akira," he explained. "And Kingu is also Mother’s daughter. So, isn’t it only natural for her to call me Onii-chan?"
After all, the current Kingu was probably only a little over a year old. Calling him "Onii-chan" wasn’t wrong at all.
