Beast taming, starting from zero point
Chapter 2067 - 234: Pre-Match Exchange (Double-Length) 3
The implication is that the Pure Evil Clown from Flame Sky Star isn’t trustworthy, but the one from Flame Heaven University might be worth trusting.
Qiao Sang pondered upon hearing this.
At this moment, Aiden walked over with a plate of steak, sat down at the table, and said enthusiastically, "What a coincidence to see you here."
"Hello, teacher," Qiao Sang greeted.
"You’re the most polite in the Emperor Class," Aiden said with a smile while cutting the steak.
The people from Emperor Class must seem so rude to these teachers. She thought the sister from Ausian was quite nice... Qiao Sang murmured inwardly.
Mikaela glanced around and asked, "Where are your students?"
"They went to Flame Heaven University early this morning," Aiden said.
"Why didn’t you go?" Mikaela asked.
"They’re just sightseeing without using their Imperial Beastmaster Academy student status," Aiden replied. "Some of the old guys at Flame Heaven University know me. If I go, it would mean the whole Imperial Beastmaster Academy competition delegation is going, and I fear it might draw too much attention."
Mikaela gave him a look and said plainly, "What’s the harm in telling the truth to me?"
Aiden glanced at Qiao Sang unintentionally, his face slightly awkward, and said:
"They went to exchange with students from other competing schools. Young people have their own ways of exchanging ideas, and there are some things I shouldn’t be there for."
During the official competition, teachers from all top schools are present, along with various cameras. Some taunts and such can only be spoken before the competition, when there are no cameras.
He’s not going, just to let everyone exchange ideas more freely.
Hmm, why are you looking at me? Does this have anything to do with me? Despite Aiden’s very subtle glance, Qiao Sang keenly noticed it and couldn’t help but feel a tinge of doubt internally.
...
Meanwhile.
Flame Heaven University.
A luxurious restaurant.
"Why are you all here, didn’t you say you couldn’t get used to Flame Sky Star’s food?" sneered the black-haired man with a scar on his face at the people before him.
"Did you see us eating?" retorted the man with slicked-back hair, full of anger.
"I also can’t get used to Flame Sky Star’s food, but didn’t you bring chefs from various interstellar regions?" the brown-haired woman wearing the Yuliandun badge fanned the flames while eating a Chao Su Star-style breakfast.
The students from the interstellar top schools joining the Interstellar School Beast Fighting Competition weren’t wearing uniforms; instead, they differentiated themselves by wearing their school’s badges.
"Everyone’s here for the competition, don’t get so heated as soon as you meet," said the blonde woman wearing the Yuanzhuo University badge, trying to mediate.
Yuanzhuo University, ranked fourth among interstellar top schools, located on Tianyuan Star.
"Yeah, everyone, calm down," said Aisling, glancing at the man with slicked-back hair.
The man with slicked-back hair received the look, let out a fake humph, and quieted down.
"Why haven’t we seen Franklin from your school?" Aisling asked, "I’ve heard he’s a once-in-a-century Beast Taming prodigy at Flame Heaven University; after this competition, he’ll officially enter the Flame Class."
With a thoughtful expression, she said, "How old was he when he became a B-level Beast Tamer again?"
"24 years old," the long-haired woman with the Imperial Beastmaster Academy badge reminded cooperatively.
"Oh right, 24 years old, such a young age," Aisling said with a smile.
Though it seemed like a compliment, her tone was rather sarcastic, as if carrying a hint of mockery.
"Franklin has his own matters to attend to," the short red-haired woman said flatly, "Aisling, you’re already at A-level Beast Tamer level; targeting a B-level Beast Tamer might not be very appropriate."
"Did I target him?" Aisling said innocently, "I was just marveling at how young he was when he became a B-level Beast Tamer."
The rest of the students from interstellar top schools all had a look of anticipation for a good show.
Everyone came to the Interstellar School Beast Fighting Competition, so naturally, they were familiar with the participating students from all sides; Franklin had just appeared in a top-tier magazine not long ago, with disdainful words toward other schools recorded, so everyone was quite displeased with him.
The atmosphere in the restaurant gradually turned tense.
The black-haired man with a scar on his face sneered and said, "Aisling, you don’t need to be too interested in Franklin; you won’t be opponents in the future."
The implication being Franklin will enter the Flame Class, and they won’t have a chance to appear on the same field.
Aisling understood, but she wasn’t angry. Instead, she waved her hand and said with a smile, "I’m just lamenting that our school’s prodigy was too young to become a B-level Beast Tamer; otherwise, he would have joined us in the Interstellar School Beast Fighting Competition, then there might have been a chance for a good match with your school’s once-in-a-century Beast Taming prodigy Franklin."
