Baby System: I'm the Beast World's Only Hope!
Chapter 532: Episode 530: More Babies
Roxy stared up at Ren’s huge, smiling face. Her heart did a wild, totally crazy flip inside her chest.
Another baby? They had barely survived bringing the triplets home! The giant stone mansion was already full of loud crying, messy diapers, and exhausted mafia bosses sleeping on the floor.
But looking into Ren’s bright purple eyes, all of Roxy’s sudden panic completely melted away. He looked so incredibly happy. He looked like he had just been handed the entire universe. She smiled back, wrapping her arms tightly around his neck.
They were going to do it all over again.
The next three years completely flew by in a massive, beautiful, totally chaotic blur.
The pregnancy with Ren’s baby was totally different from the triplets. Roxy only had one baby growing in her tummy this time, so she had a lot more energy. But Ren absolutely refused to let her lift a single finger. The handsome redhead treated her like a literal, priceless goddess. He cooked her favorite meals perfectly. He rubbed her tired feet every single night. He sang funny songs to her stomach to make her laugh.
When the nine months were finally over, they went back to their secret, highly secure hospital wing in the city. There was no terrible snowstorm this time. It was a calm, completely safe trip.
Roxy gave birth to a screaming, totally perfect little girl.
The absolute second the doctor wrapped the baby in a soft pink blanket, the entire room gasped. The tiny girl did not have dark hair like Roxy. She had a full, thick head of bright, fiery red hair, exactly like her father.
Ren cried the moment he held her. He pressed his face gently against his tiny daughter’s red hair, completely totally in love.
Over the next year, the red-haired girl proved exactly whose daughter she was.
She was incredibly clever. She learned how to walk and talk way faster than the triplets did. And she inherited all of her father’s cunning, sneaky fox traits. She knew exactly how to manipulate the giant, terrifying men in the house to get absolutely whatever she wanted.
One afternoon, Zarek was standing in the giant kitchen. He crossed his massive arms over his chest, trying to look very strict.
"No more chocolate chips," Zarek told the little red-haired girl. "You already had two. It is almost time for dinner."
The little girl didn’t cry. She didn’t throw a totally messy fit like a normal toddler. She just tilted her tiny head to the side. She widened her big green eyes, stuck her bottom lip out just a tiny bit, and gave the fierce Dragon King the sweetest, softest smile in the entire world.
Zarek completely froze. His strict mafia boss face totally crumbled into dust. He let out a loud, defeated groan, grabbed the entire bag of chocolate chips, and handed it right to her.
Ren just laughed loudly from the hallway, totally proud of his clever little girl.
Before the mansion could even settle down from the newest addition, Roxy felt that familiar, dizzy feeling all over again.
She was pregnant for the third time.
This time, it was Caspian’s turn. The sweet, gentle Sea King actually fainted backward onto the soft rug when Roxy told him the good news. When he woke up, he cried happy tears for three days straight. He immediately ordered thousands of dollars of tiny, expensive baby clothes. He hovered over Roxy constantly, making sure she always had a fresh glass of water and a soft pillow.
Another nine months completely vanished. Another fast trip to the hospital.
Roxy delivered her fifth child. Another perfect, beautiful little girl.
She had a head full of soft, dark curls and Caspian’s incredibly sweet, gentle face. The giant Sea King held his tiny daughter to his chest, rocking her slowly while tears of pure joy soaked his expensive shirt.
A year later, Caspian’s sweet daughter developed a totally hilarious, unstoppable obsession.
She was a total water bug.
The giant indoor swimming pool at the mountain estate became her absolute favorite place on Earth. She loved the water so much that she threw a massive fit every single time they tried to dry her off.
One warm afternoon, Caspian was standing in the shallow end of the giant pool. He was wearing an expensive, dark suit because he had just gotten home from a business meeting in the city. His clothes were completely soaked. Water dripped from his hair and ruined his shiny shoes.
"Please, my sweet pearl," Caspian begged, holding his hands out toward the water. "It is time to eat dinner. Your fingers look like tiny raisins. Please come out."
His tiny daughter just giggled loudly. She splashed a huge handful of water right into her father’s face and completely refused to leave. She kicked her little legs and swam away toward the deep end like a happy little fish.
Torian and Kaelen had to literally stand at the edge of the pool and bribe the tiny girl with slices of fresh watermelon just to get her out of the water so Caspian could go change his ruined suit.
The giant stone mansion was completely overrun.
There were five kids running around the halls. Toys completely covered the expensive, fluffy rugs. Lira visited every single weekend to drop off more totally ridiculous tiny socks and bags of candy. The noise level in the house was permanently set to a loud, happy roar. It was a beautiful, messy chaos.
But one lazy Sunday afternoon, the living room finally got a little bit quiet.
The older triplets were upstairs napping. Ren’s cunning red-haired daughter was drawing pictures at the kitchen table. Caspian’s daughter was asleep on his chest in the big armchair.
Torian sat totally alone on the giant leather couch.
The huge White Tiger looked absolutely miserable.
He rested his massive chin heavily on his giant hands. He had a huge, sad pout on his face. He stared blankly at the blank television screen. He looked exactly like a giant, lonely puppy who had been left out in the cold rain.
Torian loved all the children in the house. He loved carrying the triplets on his broad shoulders. He loved playing hide and seek with Ren’s daughter. He loved feeding Caspian’s sweet little girl. He was the best uncle in the entire world, and he would fight an entire army to keep those kids safe.
But his big heart ached terribly.
He watched Zarek hold his son. He watched Ren laugh with his daughter. He watched Caspian sing to his baby. Torian wanted that so badly his chest actually hurt. He wanted a baby of his own to spoil totally rotten. He wanted to buy tiny tiger toys and teach a little boy how to wrestle.
Torian let out a long, heavy, totally sad sigh and slumped deeper into the couch cushions.
"Why the long face, tough guy?"
Torian blinked his bright blue eyes and slowly looked up.
Roxy stood right in the doorway of the living room. She was wearing a soft white sweater and loose pants. She looked absolutely glowing. She was smiling so brightly her cheeks actually hurt.
"I’m fine," Torian mumbled, rubbing the back of his neck. He tried to force a fake smile for her, but he totally failed. "Just tired."
Roxy didn’t believe him for a single second. She knew exactly why her giant tiger was pouting.
She kept one hand completely hidden behind her back. She walked slowly across the soft, fluffy rug. She stopped right in front of the giant leather couch, standing between Torian’s spread knees.
Torian looked up at her. His bright blue eyes were totally sad and heavy.
Roxy didn’t say a single word to him. She didn’t need to.
She just brought her hidden hand forward. She opened her fingers and dropped something right into the absolute middle of Torian’s giant, empty lap.
Torian looked down.
Sitting against his dark jeans was a brand new, tiny pair of tiger-striped baby shoes.
