The nature of the upgrade is also quite simple.

Greater Power, and a higher Soul Conversion Rate.

A single Soul Sacrifice can now produce a greater effect.

Furthermore, the area of effect can be made more concentrated, unleashing greater damage within a smaller radius.

The moment the vessel ruptured, a large swath of the surrounding flesh turned a deathly gray, then began to blacken, ceasing its writhing and pulsing.

It all withered.

’So it really is a weak point...’

As Lu Cang was thinking this, the legs of the two Void Pillar Guardians beside him were ensnared by the flesh.

The flesh and blood began dragging them into the city!

Lu Cang ignored the two Void Pillar Guardians caught in the flesh, his gaze remaining fixed on the colossal Demon before him.

’I’ve figured out the weak points. They’re the massive blood vessels scattered everywhere.’

’But there are just too many of them.’

’They’re spread out all over the fleshy landscape. Smashing through them one by one would take far too long.’

’It’s too much of a hassle.’

’These vessels probably all lead to a single vital area...’

Lu Cang had not yet flown over the city itself.

He was still observing from the sky just outside its walls.

’Rushing in would be reckless.’

’Although death would only mean getting kicked out of the tower, it’s best to avoid it if possible.’

Lu Cang’s gaze followed the path of the vessel he had just destroyed. It plunged deep into the ground...

’Perhaps the main weak point isn’t exposed on the surface...’

’...but hidden underground?’

Since this city is made entirely of flesh, its body probably extends deep underground, not just across the surface.

Lu Cang raised his Magic Staff.

Thunderous Zone first unleashed a sudden sonic boom, followed immediately by a Thunderstorm that struck the entire affected area.

Tier Four Magic often combined multiple forms of attack.

Arcs of electricity leaped across the ground, making the flesh roil and writhe, but the effect was confined to that single area.

And in truth, it didn’t seem to have caused much damage.

"As expected..."

’Attacking a single district of an entire city... the damage is negligible.’

However, the feedback from the Thunderous Zone allowed Lu Cang to get a sense of the structure underground.

’The ground really is made of flesh.’

’If I were this kind of Demon, I’d most likely hide my fatal weakness deep underground, where no one could reach.’

"A shame I don’t have any intel."

"If a Scholar or an Observer were here, things would be a lot simpler."

A Scholar’s vast knowledge might allow them to identify this Demon immediately.

And an Observer could spot more subtle details, perceiving a solution.

Lu Cang glanced at the two Void Pillar Guardians that had been dragged to the fleshy city wall and were now being pulled inside, as if being devoured.

He unsummoned them.

FWOOSH—

The two Void Pillar Guardians dissolved into purple-black Magic Power. The tendrils of flesh that had been devouring them seemed confused.

They grasped at the air, catching nothing.

After the two Void Pillar Guardians dissipated, Lu Cang summoned two new ones out of thin air.

Then, a mote of Source from the tip of his Magic Staff rose into the sky!

RUMBLE—

Source·Awakened Void.

Colorful fissures began to tear open across the sky.

From these fissures, Void Creatures were awakened and summoned by Lu Cang, descending upon this world!

These summoned Void Creatures no longer had purple-black bodies; instead, they were iridescent.

They possessed stronger bodies, greater speed, more specialized Skill Sets, and the attribute of All Elements.

RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE—

Soon, sixteen iridescent Void Pillar Guardians joined the ranks of his army.

A total of twenty Void Pillar Guardians advanced toward the city wall.

Following closely behind them, the Headless Frenzy Warriors also charged the city wall!

Swinging their axes!

CRASH!

They smashed a dent in the wall, sending flesh flying and erupting with Ice and Fire!

This was the All Elements attribute they possessed due to the Root Magic.

’Since I have to explore inside, it’s only natural to send the army in first.’

And within the Armor of his army, the corpses of many Demons were hung.

Better than letting the corpses scatter across the fleshy ground.

It was safer to hang them on his own Summoned Creatures.

The legion, like an arrowhead, smashed through the city wall and charged inside.

Meanwhile, Lu Cang activated his Magic Robe’s Enchantment Effect, concealing his aura and blocking Perception.

He even used the Magic, Shadow Concealment (Tier Three) (Level: 301), to hide his presence.

Illusory Heavy Mist Sea (Tier Three).

Combined with the vast fog, his figure vanished from the sky.

Compared to the army brutally pushing forward below, Lu Cang, shrouded in the thick fog, had no presence at all.

BOOM!

The acid sprayed by the Throat of Thousand Whiskers was exceptionally effective against the flesh.

Flesh-type Demons generally don’t have high resistance to various Elements; their main strength is their rapid regeneration.

The army continued its push inward.

The endless sea of flesh below churned, attempting to halt the advance of the Nation Destruction Level legion—

It even managed to crush many of the more fragile Humming Hunters.

Seeing the efficiency with which the Flesh and Blood City dispatched Tier Four Nation Destruction Level Demons, Lu Cang couldn’t help but marvel.

’If I really can’t find its weakness and have to destroy it piece by piece...’

’...this army of one hundred Nation Destruction Level Demons would be no match for it.’
