Age of Wizards: I Can Analyze All Things
Chapter 146 - 102: Divine Plane and the Astonishing Power of Stacked Runes
To still feel a noticeable boost with each training session, even with a constitution attribute exceeding 150, was already quite rare.
Every other Legendary Knight had to rely on a slow, grinding process, painstakingly improving their strength over long periods.
He was the only one who could continue to advance by leaps and bounds.
He rested for a moment until the surging blood in his veins calmed. Pei Ze then manipulated Energy Particles to cleanse his body before sitting down in a corner.
The modification of the Elemental Rune would be complete in less than an hour. He didn’t plan on leaving; he would wait here and test the power of the improved version afterward.
Rather than sit idly, Pei Ze took out a book and began to read.
Five large words on the leather cover were particularly striking: *The Study of Divine Planes*!
As the competition with Red Lotus City drew nearer, discussions about the matter grew more fervent within Chenxi City.
Information about the rumored new plane—the very cause of the conflict between the two cities—had also begun to circulate among the Wizard Apprentices.
The new plane was called the Turin Plane.
To Pei Ze’s surprise, it was actually a Divine Plane.
A Divine Plane was defined as a plane with a complete system of Divine Spirits and a religious civilization.
For Wizards, such planes were often tantamount to massive treasure troves.
It was no wonder, then, that Chenxi City and Red Lotus City had engaged in a protracted standoff over it, one that had nearly escalated into open war.
Driven by curiosity, Pei Ze had sought out relevant books to study the topic.
Even among Divine Planes, there were distinctions in strength and scale.
Divine Planes could be subdivided based on the number of their Divine Spirits: Monotheistic, Polytheistic, and even Pantheonic.
A Pantheonic plane, for example, had to have an established Pantheon and was certain to contain a main god-level Divine Spirit—what was often referred to in the Multiverse as a God Above Gods.
Undoubtedly, Pantheonic planes were far stronger than the other two types.
As for whether a monotheistic or polytheistic plane was stronger, that depended on the specifics.
Some monotheistic planes had only a single Divine Spirit, but if that being was a high-level Divine Spirit second only to a main god, the plane’s overall power could very well surpass that of a polytheistic plane whose gods were mostly lesser Divine Spirits.
In short, the strength of a Divine Plane was determined entirely by the number and power of its Divine Spirits.
The greater the number and strength of the Divine Spirits, the more formidable the plane’s power structure and the more elite its overall strength tended to be.
Even the Wizard World had to tread carefully when dealing with Pantheonic planes.
It was worth noting that the new plane discovered by Chenxi City and Red Lotus City was said to be polytheistic.
However, it was a weaker type of polytheistic plane, possessing only three lesser Divine Spirits.
’But even the weakest lesser Divine Spirit can only be confronted head-on by a Wizard who has mastered Rule Power.’
’And there are probably only a handful of such powerful Wizards in Chenxi City and Red Lotus City combined.’
The Turin Plane, with its three lesser Divine Spirits, was naturally of little consequence to the vast Star Realm Alliance.
But for either Chenxi City or Red Lotus City, it was a formidable opponent that could not be underestimated.
This was precisely why the two Wizard Cities ultimately decided to join forces and conquer the Turin Plane together.
’Now that Yin Xue has joined the Witch Hunting Team, she’ll probably be sent to the Turin Plane as well.’
Pei Ze turned a page, his eyes glinting.
Barring any surprises, he would likely have to enter the Plane Battlefield on the Turin Plane after he advanced to the rank of Wizard.
Unless one was a purely research-oriented Wizard with no ambition to advance further, a Wizard could not avoid the Plane Battlefield forever.
Only on the Plane Battlefield could a Wizard obtain the resources necessary to support their advancement.
Therefore, Pei Ze was preparing for the future, steadily absorbing a vast amount of knowledge about Divine Planes.
Time ticked by, second by second.
Over half an hour later, Pei Ze’s expression suddenly shifted.
’The Elemental Rune modification is complete!’
In an instant, a vast amount of information flooded into his mind.
Pei Ze closed his eyes, focusing to process the influx. When he opened them again, they were filled with delight.
He raised his right hand and traced a few quick lines in the air. Instantly, a blue rune, shimmering with fine arcs of electricity, took shape.
’It formed more than twice as fast as before!’
’The casting time is significantly shorter, and the power has clearly increased.’
Pei Ze took out his Longsword and slapped the Lightning Rune onto the blade. A series of faint crackles followed, and the surface of the sword was instantly wreathed in countless blue arcs of electricity.
He then blurred, reappearing before the crystal target and casually swinging the sword down.
CLANG!
’Category: Physical, Lightning’
’Power: 45.5 Degrees’
"Not bad."
Pei Ze looked pleased.
He had used the same amount of force as in his previous test, yet the power had increased by more than half.
The modified Elemental Rune certainly didn’t disappoint.
Pei Ze then swung again, this time with his full strength, and also channeled the Power of Thunder Element.
The electric arcs on the blade instantly grew several times denser, and the speed of his swing skyrocketed, becoming like a true flash of lightning.
—The Power of Thunder Element was known not only for its ferocious attacks, but also for its speed.
BOOM!
A dense web of cracks instantly spread across the crystal target as arcs of electricity scattered in all directions.
’Category: Physical, Elemental Power, Lightning’
’Power: 78.3 Degrees’
’Not bad. Almost 80 degrees.’
’This is powerful enough to instantly kill a Tier One Legendary Knight.’
The smile on Pei Ze’s face widened as he proceeded to test his other abilities.
In addition to the reduced casting time and enhanced power, the modified Elemental Rune also gained a new stacking technique.
