Chapter 44: System Rewrites the Titan Rules

"Cool," I muttered, then looked toward the system screen expectantly, upon which the system suddenly brought out a moving wheel machine, and a big red button appeared alongside it.

"Ohh, new method. "Nice." I nodded and pressed it.

CLING CLING CLING.

The system machine made sounds like it was spinning rapidly, as if it were overworking itself. But then I heard Nyx’s curious voice.

"What are you doing?" I paused and turned sideways as he suddenly appeared on my shoulder, and we were now also looking at the system’s moving wheel machine.

"You can see this?" I asked back shocked, because a few moments ago they were not able to see the system messages, but now they can see this.

"Yeah, I can see these big things," Nyx said while pointing toward the machine, on which I asked the system, and it replied, "From now on, they can see all the systems’ screens if they appear in front of them.

"Well, it’s fine," I muttered in a low voice as the wheel machine was finally stopping.

Wow!! Congratulations! Luke, you have got basic restrictions removed from all your forms.

"What?" I asked the system with the confused expression. but Nyx cut it.

"Your form has restrictions, but why?"

As I already told Nyx about my forms, even I don’t know if there was any restriction.

Then Nyx explained that even in ancient times, many people have borrowed their power, but none of them have those basic restrictions.

Finally, System answered this to me and Nyx.

[Well, Luke was mortal when he got the origin skill to summon your forms, so I have put some restrictions and also changed it so he can use that with his mortal body.]

The system paused for a moment for us, at which I nodded, and Nyx just looked thoughtful, like he could already guess where this was going.

[So, like, your first form gives you some titan regeneration, durability, and two times strength.]

[It’s not exactly like that. From now on, the system is reverting to its original structure. Your first form will now inherit partial traits of your third form, allowing you to use some of its abilities in a limited way. However, you will no longer receive additional strength buffs in this form.]

"Crazy," I cursed after hearing this because it was too cool; if I could use Nyx’s void doppelganger skill in my first form, my first form would consume very little stamina.

Then my mood plummeted somewhat when I thought about the loss of those two times strength.

"When there is gain, there is loss as well."

I shook my head, but then my eyes narrowed.

"System, this restriction was set by you. So you’re just releasing it back now? Don’t tell me you’re thinking of swallowing my S rank rewards?"

Nyx, confused, asked, "Was that true?" on this system screen, glitching slightly like he was sweating, and then he said it in a defensive voice.

I stopped and thought for a moment, still confused. Nyx also watched from the side quietly; even though he understood it somewhat, he was still waiting for the system to continue.

[Like in the Body temper realm, your titan has one ability, but now in the Iron realm, you will have a second ability unlocked.]

"WHAT!!!"

I exclaimed loudly about this because this was too broken.

"My lord, what’s happened?"

I calm down a little, as my voice was so loud that my knights suddenly come outside my tent.

"I am fine; just go back and do your duty."

The knights heard their lord’s normal voice, even though they got confused as to why he then screamed, but they still obeyed and left after bowing to him.

"Your soldiers seem to have high respect for you," Nyx said from the side as he watched all this.

I smiled and scratched my head, then turned to check the ability that I have gained first.

"Let’s see, Nyx, what of your abilities I have unlocked this time?"

Nyx also looked expectantly, because he has so many skills and abilities that counting them is going to take too much time.

"Wow, insane." After fully reading, I muttered those words. I have heard about these types of hiding skills, but this one is broken.

"Well, you are lucky to summon my racial ability."

Nyx, who is still seated on my shoulder, said with a surprised voice.

"Racial ability?"

I asked back to him confusedly; he nodded and told me.

"As you have already have my Shadow of Nyx, in which you just do not create a clone or shadow."

He paused as he saw my expectant look, wanting to know more, and then a big smile appeared on his face.

"Instead, it brings out a real self of you from the void."

My mind went blank for a moment when I heard the term "real self."

But then he added one more line.

"As void, records everything: past, present, and even future."

As he finished the sentence, his expression became melancholy, like remembering those old days.

"But you are lucky, because it’s mine own ability that I maxed to an extreme level, and that’s what you have got."

I nodded, because I could feel this doppelganger ability was very powerful, and then I asked him about its second ability.

He said that it was the true racial ability of his kind, one in which, unless someone had a detection skill or an ability to sense enemies, he could theoretically become completely invisible. However, this ability consumed a large amount of Aether.

"Good." After saying this, I looked toward my second titan’s second ability.

"This is absurd." My mouth fully opened after reading the full description, and then I looked toward the Nyx titan, whose face had also become ugly, because this ability is definitely crazier than his second ability.
