Chapter 383: Chapter 353 World Builder Irene

"Form a Sixth Tier elite squad to eliminate those Forgotten Kings who bestow royal blessings. The decapitation strategy is indeed effective, but do those old kings really warrant us forming an elite squad?"

Following Algernon’s suggestion, he intended to include himself and Frey among several Legion Commanders to strike at the group of Forgotten Kings at the mountain top. One Fire Bath, five Slayer of Darkness members. What did that amount to? Decapitating an army was as easy as reaching into a bag and pulling something out.

Frey felt that Algernon was making a mountain out of a molehill. The greatest role of a Legion Commander was to control legions, and using high-tier power in solo combat was a waste of talent and carried risks on the frontline as well.

Without the control of their Legion Commanders, the legion’s effectiveness would greatly diminish, just as the presence of Crusader leaders was for ordinary Crusader soldiers. Not to mention other things, but the Guardian legion with Raphael present did not fear the Inquisitor legion in the slightest.

"Among the Forgotten Kings is a mage, a high-ranking mage..."

"Above the Sixth Tier."

Frey’s heart sank, and he didn’t say much more. "We’ll do as you say." Frey didn’t believe there were many beings in the world that could surpass his own strength, but if such a being truly existed, one could not be careless.

Beyond the Fifth Tier was the divide between human and non-human. Anyone above that was a formidable enemy. Though for the Legion Commanders of the Holy Light, that threshold was higher.

Lyle quickly noticed the Holy Light squad breaking away from the battlefield; in fact, they made no attempt to conceal their advance, brazenly rushing towards the mountain top.

Their strength alone was enough to make Lyle’s scalp tingle.

"A squad of Sixth Tier Legion Commanders!" Dammit, the quality of this, the Andrey Association could hardly muster such a force.

Grinding his teeth, Lyle realized that on the side of the Forgotten Kings, probably only Mr. Irene was capable of combat. As for Lyle, perhaps the plague could help a little. After all, it was a plague that enjoyed the priority of rules. Maybe he could make them sneeze or throw out their backs.

"Mr. Irene, my plague can offer a little help," Lyle said, his teeth chattering as he spoke.

"Your kindness is noted, young Lyle. But I alone am enough," replied Irene.

Wow, Mr. Irene truly was a reliable gentleman. Lyle breathed a sigh of relief, glad that he would not have to fight out of his league and get beaten by monsters.

A rift in space appeared before Irene. In the blink of an eye, he teleported to the middle of the mountain slope, blocking the way of the Crusader Legion Commanders.

He lifted his hand, touching the tip of his wand.

"Six locks, domain, world construction."

"Terraforming the mountains and rivers."

"Twisting the stratum."

An earthquake, as if a party had started on the hillside. Landslides ensued, billowing dust as serpents of tumbling rocks coiled upon the hillside, tearing land apart.

The once smooth path was now transformed into an insurmountable obstacle, a vast chasm stretched behind Mr. Irene, like a smile from the goddess of the earth to her lover.

The Crusader Legion Commanders faced their only enemy.

Frey raised his shield, standing at the forefront.

"Algernon, can you perform geological alterations of this scale?"

"Barely." Frey heard Algernon’s breath intake over the hastily established network.

It seemed precarious, but hopefully, the mage’s power level was only slightly higher.

"Land of Purification."

"Black Prison."

Right from the start, Frey pointed at Irene and commanded, "Burning Ember." The burning flames, endowed with the suppressive power of Holy Light, created torturous burns on the enemy’s body, sealing their abilities. The spell was even more effective against Spellcasters; stinging nerves would not permit them to use their magic power.

Algernon took the lead, with several Slayer of Darkness members replicating Irene’s capabilities.

"Blazing Flame Blast."

"Rock Spike."

"Dimensional Cut."

"Withering Strike."

They unleashed magic strikes of varying categories and effects, all to target this omnipotent mage. Due to the disparity in strength, the Fire Bath’s sealing ability couldn’t completely seal him, but it could significantly reduce the spellcasters’ ability to respond.

These independent abilities were sure to overwhelm him, making him likely to falter.

The situation felt as if Irene was facing several of his own clones at the same time, all while his own power had been diminished.

That’s how it was supposed to be.

Irene should have been struggling with his weakened spellcasting abilities to counter the spells, eventually getting hurt by one or two spells that he couldn’t neutralize in time. The Slayer of Darkness had faced high-tier enemies before, and their ends had been quite tragic. It was now the era of Holy Light, and its power held a repressive force.

However, Irene did not cast any counterspells.

He did more. Based on the basic principle of the four elements countering each other, he employed new elemental spellcasting that harnessed the Slayer of Darkness clone’s own power. Through elemental fusion reactions, he struck the Slayers of Darkness with even more terrifying force.

Fire Bath Frey resisted with his body, blocking most of it, while the rest was dissolved by the combined efforts of the Slayers of Darkness.

It was like students solving challenging problems set by a strict teacher that were beyond the usual scope. Irene, while countering, demonstrated his profound knowledge in the elemental field and almost killed Fire Bath Frey.

"This mage isn’t being affected by your seal," Algernon said with surprise as he watched the flames burning on Irene’s body, his mask eroded and shattered by the high temperature. "I see, a lich... no, wrong, the intense heat of Holy Flame would pain even a lich. So how is he unscathed?" This wasn’t the effect of a king’s power granting amnesty from Holy Light.

The Burning Ember had indeed been ignited on Irene; he now looked as red as another Fire Bath. However, the flames seemed like mere decorations, not harming him in the slightest.

Frey felt his shield-arm was useless, the healing effect of the burning Holy Flame working slowly on his wounds and broken bones.

"His talent is high-tier fire resistance. Any fire spell or divine magic that produces heat won’t harm him. Damn it, isn’t that a talent only a Fire Elemental Monarch would have?"

"Fire spells are no use against him, Algernon. The seal isn’t working."

The Legion Commander of the Slayers of Darkness took a deep breath, "Alright then, it’s down to a contest of magic power."

"Slayers of Darkness! Chant together! High-tier Earth Series Spells!"

"Meteor Shower!"

The combined spells of five Sixth Tier Legion Commanders turned into a giant meteor plummeting from the sky.

"Frey, protect us well, brace for the aftermath of the explosion. This combined spell is nearly at Cataclysm-Level! Even we will get hurt!" Algernon shouted wearily, asking for help.

Irene watched the sky, the meteor in his line of sight growing larger, aimed only at him.

"Do you also like throwing stones? Good, I do too."

Irene raised a finger, and a blue magic light erupted into a ring of impact, shattering the clouds above.

"Astral spells."

"Star-picking Strike."

The sky... darkened, as a colossal meteor pushed aside the clouds, coming down with roaring flames caused by air friction, descending to earth. In its fall, it conveniently shattered its meteoric little brother.

Frey roared angrily amidst the thunderous sounds in the sky.

"Teleport! Hurry and teleport us away!"

"Cataclysm-Level curses!"

"The enemy is of the angel tier!"

Lyle and the Forgotten Kings were fleeing, enveloped at the edge of the Celestial Sphere. Lyle’s mouth never closed, staring at the Celestial Sphere with the flaming meteor falling like a marble played by a deity, hmm, aiming at the earth.

Irene, standing at his location, was engulfed in darkness, though the sky above was a sheet of falling fire clouds, he still regretted.

"I forgot to restrain the output."

"The elevation of the Scansor Mountain Range is going to increase again, huh."
