Abyssal Sovereign: The Demon's Dominion
Chapter 431 - 430: Part of the abyss
Boom…
The cube trembled as various consciousnesses formed bodies—Rank 4 beings descending.
Of course, they didn't use their true forms. Instead, they split a fragment of their consciousness, which manifested into physical bodies.
There weren't many of them—just a few Rank 4 demons.
These were the ones closest to Void, the ones available to interact.
The others were occupied with some engaged in multiversal wars, others battling entities that devoured entire realities.
In truth, no Rank 4 being was ever truly free.
Their clones were scattered everywhere, fighting endless battles. Some even had their true forms sealed by other powerful beings.
And not all of them could come here
a few were more than enough.
"Osiris…" one of the Rank 4 demons called out.
Void also dismissed his true form. Like them, he split off a fragment of his consciousness, forming a body to interact with them.
"Hello," Void said with a grin as the demons chuckled.
"It's been how long since we last saw a new Rank 4 entity?" one of them asked with a smile.
"Exactly twenty million years," another replied.
Void laughed.
"I suppose I should consider myself quite daring to break through at this time," he said, and they laughed again.
He observed their forms
One had a goat's head, another was blob-like, some were humanoid, and one resembled a dragon.
At this level, form no longer mattered.
They could appear however they wished.
Most had long forgotten their original forms after countless years of traveling through realms, realities, and multiverses in different bodies.
They simply chose what they were most comfortable with.
Tomorrow, they might look completely different.
"Indeed… and your age…" the goat-headed demon stroked his chin with a laugh.
"You're young. A talented one," the dragon added.
"Thank you for the compliment. I'm sure you all broke through at incredible paces as well," Void replied.
"Ah, not as fast as you—especially getting your name into the Book of Creation before reaching Rank 4," one of the demons said with a chuckle.
The others looked at Void knowingly.
"Ah… thank you. But it doesn't matter much. We all have our names in the Book of Creation. The difference is only time," Void said calmly.
"Come, let's dine and have a little chat," Void added modestly as the Rank 4 demons nodded in approval.
They moved to the Fifth Layer of Void's domain.
Thankfully, Linkir and the others had already finished building.
They watched in shock as Void arrived with Rank 4 entities and immediately bowed.
After all, these beings were as strong as their master—if not stronger.
Void brought out various delicacies each made from the bodies of at least Rank 3 beings.
Of course, this couldn't compare to what Rank 4 beings were used to.
To them, it was slightly bland.
But they didn't complain.
After all, Void had just broken through. Given time and wars, he would acquire far more valuable resources—meat, wine, and even rare items like parts of the Tree of Life or Fate brewed into tea.
As they dined, they talked.
Mostly, they praised one another, but they also discussed wars, how to approach them and which races Void should be cautious of.
For that, Void was genuinely grateful.
He also heard of a particular race immune to physical attacks
The Phantom Race.
Void kept their name in mind.
Before leaving, the Rank 4 demons presented Void with gifts
From half-complete Rank 4 souls to sealing pacts capable of trapping Rank 4 entities.
To them, these were trivial.
Their treasuries were vast.
But to Void, these gifts were extremely valuable.
Some could even help him escape being sealed.
Void calmly thanked each of them as they continued drinking and chatting before eventually departing.
After seeing them off, Void took a deep breath.
He realized something
Interactions at Rank 4 were different.
There was no deceit.
No hatred.
No envy.
They truly saw themselves as one.
And in a sense, they were.
They and the higher ranks were the ones deciding the direction of the Abyss and the fate of demonkind.
Another thing became clear
He needed a treasury.
Void felt slightly embarrassed.
What he had to offer was lacking.
But then again, he hadn't yet participated in many wars or conquered multiverses.
The materials that interested Rank 4 beings were beyond priceless.
For example
The Fate Ordeal: a book capable of revealing the fate of any Rank 4 being and even influencing it to a certain extent, while simultaneously blocking the perception of other Rank 4 entities.
An incredibly useful tool for planning attacks on high-level multiverses.
Another....
The Book of All Curses: a terrifying artifact capable of contaminating the true body and form of Rank 4 beings.
These were the kinds of materials that interested beings of this level.
And Void… currently had none.
Aside from that
He needed to activate his Mini Abyss.
Void stood up, stored all the gifts in his inventory, and walked out.
Outside, Void's slaves remained in a bowing posture.
After all, they had to greet and show respect to those Rank 4 entities.
"Rise," Void said.
Linkir and the others stood up, their eyes darting around as they struggled to process the overwhelming gap between themselves and Rank 4 beings.
Void was their master, so his aura was restrained.
But those Rank 4 demons…
They didn't bother to suppress theirs.
Linkir and the others had nearly felt like they would die if those beings stayed any longer.
The difference was monstrous.
"I will open the portal now. Get ready to welcome my army," Void said.
Then..
The entire sub-realms trembled as portals opened from the First Layer to the Fourth Layer of his domain.
But that wasn't all.
Their numbers were almost infinite, pouring out like grains of sand on a beach.
Void was satisfied.
These demons would populate his sub-realms. Although, compared to the vast size of the domain, they were still like dust.
But in a few million years, these sub-realms would be filled with life everywhere
A true Mini Abyss.
With their arrival, Linkir and the others disappeared, moving to organize them.
They were no longer free demons of the main Abyss.
They were soldiers under Void.
Rank 0 and below would still be allowed to fight and grow on their own.
But Rank 1 to Rank 3 would not.
Their purpose was clear
Invade worlds.
Gather souls for Void.
And if they encountered powerful worlds, that was when Void's slaves or even Void himself—would step in.
"I understand now what you meant, System… why the angel and demon war was nothing but a facade… and why Rank 4 entities don't usually fight," Void said with a grin.
(Yes, host.)
