Boom

Amu dodged a kick as he grabbed someone and struck his head with his elbow.

Bang.

Boom.

Dom.

The four engaged in battle as Amu made quick work of them. Finally, it was done and over with as Amu took a deep breath.

All around him were corpses upon corpses.

"Good job…" Vivian spoke from the side as Amu narrowed his eyes.

It was only now he could notice the blood between her teeth, but worse, she held a limb and she… 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

Crunch. Crunch.

Amu watched as Vivian ate the body, and he felt repulsed. He almost vomited but held it back.

"I won," Amu said. His breath was ragged, and severe injuries with blood still bleeding out could be seen here and there.

Then a warm energy filled both Amu and Vivian.

Crack…

They felt something shatter within them.

"The next realm…" Vivian muttered as her body grew stronger and sturdier.

Then she began floating into the sky, same with Amu.

They felt as though they could actually survive in space.

Soon, they exited the planet's orbit.

"Rank 1…" Amu said as Vivian flashed a smile.

"Well…"

"Let's pay some planets a visit, shall we?"

---

While some characters were being born and others dying…

The Federation was still being destroyed, intact only except for Wild Shade and Dreadborne.

No other organization existed in this multi-universe anymore.

And the Forefathers were free to roam. Both mortals and powerhouses suffered—at least those below Rank 2 were safe, but those at Rank 2 and above were…

In the vast expanse of space, a giant prison floated.

This prison was not ordinary, as it was where terrifying powerhouses of this multi-universe were imprisoned.

Their powers were sealed, reducing them to mere mortals.

Deep inside, Darius looked at Hollowind, orion the First Knight of the Federation alongside various powerhouses from Quasi Rank 4 down to the lowest ranks.

All were bound here, their powers sealed, left for slaughter by the Forefathers.

They did not know why, nor the reason for this. All they knew was that nothing good awaited them.

They would likely face devastating ends.

Were they okay with it?

No.

But what could they do?

Nothing, really.

Time seemed to pass quickly as Darius's eyes lost their luster.

Outside, Amu, Vivian, and the others made a name for themselves.

Each reached the peak of Rank 1 in this chaotic world.

And as for the two unaffected organizations…

The Forefathers finally made a move.

---

Over at Dreadborne…

At the outskirts were habitat planets numbering in the thousands.

Since people knew these two organizations were untouched by the Forefathers, they moved closer to them…

Or more specifically, to Dreadborne.

The Wild Shade Organization was located within an unstable spatial storm—few could even survive there.

But Dreadborne was in a more stable space, with a tremendous amount of resources, making it the most preferred choice as people rushed toward it.

Their choice proved effective, as the Forefathers never came here—at least, not until today.

"Hm…"

A voice echoed through space as if reality itself was being torn apart.

Dozens of figures appeared.

These were the Forefathers, and their aura alone distorted space, shattering the calm days.

They all looked toward Dreadborne.

Toward the countless humans seeking refuge there.

"So this is where you all were…" Marken spoke with a grin.

Beside him stood the God of Death, also smiling.

The other Forefathers wore crazed expressions of excitement.

Killing these beings had proven to be the best decision ever, as they had reached the peak of Quasi Rank 4.

If this continued, perhaps. just perhaps some of them might break through to Rank 4.

And then they realized something.

Maybe they had made a mistake in the past.

They should not have limited themselves to killing each other…

They should have killed every single being alive.

Perhaps then, someone might have already broken through to Rank 4 and extended their lifespan.

But thankfully, it was not too late.

They could still change things.

"Will they come to protect them?" a Forefather asked, looking at the quiet Dreadborne headquarters.

"I doubt it. The fact that they didn't take them in even after months is proof that they don't care," another replied.

"But it doesn't matter. If they come, we will just kill them. After all, that is why we are here today," another added.

"Hehehe…"

The Forefathers laughed as they began.

"No… no… please Dreadborne help!"

"No… selfish… f*ck Dreadborne!"

Screams, cries, and curses filled the space as the Forefathers went on a bloodbath.

Planetary explosions rang out, blood flowed, and mortals and powerhouses alike suffered.

The Forefathers were not saviors.

Their true faces were revealed.

They were demons—no, devils—who pretended to be sheep but were wolves.

They also possessed a twisted sense of entertainment, forcing survivors to kill each other.

What felt like eternity of suffering was only moments to the Forefathers.

Then silence returned.

Now, only Dreadborne remained.

"So now…"

"Attack."

Marken spoke as the Forefathers gathered their energy. Space trembled violently.

Just then

"Gentlemen… sorry for keeping you waiting."

A voice echoed.

The Forefathers' charging attacks dispersed instantly.

Nephem walked out with a smile, his white hair glowing. His eyes were sharp and piercing, dressed in casual wear.

Around him, Linkir, Nyx, and the others appeared. Even Mark joined them.

They all looked calm.

Not afraid—but excited.

"You know, we don't need long discussions… why don't we make this more interesting?" Junie said with a smile.

The Forefathers frowned.

What did she mean?

Junie grinned and waved her arms.

"Why don't we show this to all surviving beings?"

With a wave, screens appeared across the remaining multi-universe, visible to every survivor.

---

Deep in the prison, Darius, Orion, Hollowind, and the rest were suddenly spooked by the strange screen.

But more surprising were the figures displayed on it.

They could never forget both of them.

One was Dreadborne, and the other was the Forefathers.

But across the scene were blood, mutilated bodies, and the like.

It was clear the Forefathers had caused a bloodbath here.

But more importantly…

Why were they here?

Of course, the rising beings like Amu and Vivian were also watching.

All of them shared a single lingering question:

What was happening—and why?

Why was Dreadborne facing the Forefathers? And why now?

Was the Forefathers planning to wipe out every being?

Or had Dreadborne finally decided they could no longer sit back and act?
