Abyssal Sovereign: The Demon's Dominion
Chapter 414 - 413: Hunter Meets Hunter
Shiaaaa
Rain fell, but unlike clear, natural rain, it was one filled with blood, and Amu stood beneath it.
His expression was neutral, perhaps leaning toward cold, as he was drenched in blood.
The mountain of corpses had been destroyed and turned into a giant meat paste.
With each passing moment, humanity was waning in population, but its strength was increasing.
Now Amu had grown to an extent where he could casually affect environment spanning kilometers.
Coupled with the fact that he could fly, was he any different from the gods they once praised?
Could he now be called a god?
Amu shook his head as he gave a self-deprecating laugh.
This was the Federation, where beings could affect fate and time. He was nothing but an ant.
Regardless, this planet...
Amu's head hung low as he looked at the dry, almost hollow planet. Ruins were everywhere, smoke had replaced the clouds, and the ground had become blood-red.
Various meat pastes lay around, and large craters were present.
Taking a deep breath, Amu moved as he left the giant city and headed west.
---
At another city close to where Amu was
Pattcccc
Rhhhk
The ripping sound of meat from bone echoed in the dark space as, under a boulder, a female with bulging muscles could be seen.
But the skin-crawling fact was that what she was eating was human flesh, and she seemed used to it.
Her aura was similar to Amu's as she rested and ate.
Beside her was a human skull, but the liquid inside wasn't water,it was human blood.
She ate calmly, in fact slowly, as if not to rush the meal but to savor it.
"How long has it been?" she muttered, her eyes turbid.
Her memories were blurry; all she could remember was waking up here and starting the fight for survival. She didn't know her past life or seem to care much about it.
"I guess it is time to leave," she muttered.
Vivian stood up. She covered herself with clothes made of fur and human skin, creating a grotesque yet somewhat beautiful image.
Her arms and limbs were free to move, but her body was covered, though her muscles and powerful build couldn't be hidden.
Now her lips were blood-red, the same as her teeth, as she finished the meat.
She threw away the bone.
Clang...
The bone hit the ground, echoing in the small space under the large boulder.
Afterward, Vivian stood up, ready to leave, but just then she felt a strong aura, and her body paused.
Amu had arrived.
Amu looked at the new area filled with mutilated bodies, with rotten flesh hanging off bones.
Compared to his previous sights, this seemed more disturbing than frightening.
Then Amu looked down as he saw two cold gazes settle on him.
His body froze for a moment as he tensed up. He felt like a hungry predator was staring at him. Then his eyebrows furrowed as he looked at Vivian.
She stepped out, and her massive body was fully revealed to Amu.
She was close to 2.3 meters tall, with broad shoulders, terrifying muscles, and veins like thick steel chains wrapped around her body.
"You would taste better," Amu heard a voice as his body stiffened.
He instinctively moved to the left as a loud whip-like sound echoed, the air rapidly compressed as her palm sliced through it.
If he had been a second late, then maybe she would have...
"Hmm, it is not nice to attack without warning."
Boom.
A shockwave spread as a gale struck the ground, slicing off layers of sand as Amu's punch connected, and Vivian's head swayed to the right.
"It won't be a sneak attack if I told you," Vivian grinned widely as she moved her head and resisted Amu's punch.
Amu watched as his hand was pushed back.
"Such a brute," Amu commented as he moved back.
But then his expression changed quickly as he felt like his back hit a wall.
Looking forward, Vivian was already gone, and the next moment he felt his head being grabbed.
It felt like a giant clamp held him.
He couldn't move his head.
Bang...
"Aaah!"
He felt intense pain travel through his body as he froze.
Then suddenly, his head was released.
He was stunned
why would she do that?
"We are surrounded," Vivian suddenly spoke, answering Amu's question.
Amu looked around as eight men descended from the sky, each carrying a murderous aura.
They definitely weren't here for chit-chat but to kill them.
For Amu, it was not uncommon. Usually, groups smaller or larger than this were formed, and they attacked other humans with their numbers.
Their growth was also faster than normal humans.
It had its advantages and disadvantages, of course.
"I will let you live, only if you can complete something," Vivian suddenly said as Amu looked at her.
Yes, this brute—what was she thinking? Why did she release him? To help her? He could just join them to kill her.
So why bother helping her fight when they were clearly outnumbered eight to two?
"I will take four and leave the other four to you. If you win, I will let you survive, but if you lose then..."
Shia...
Amu's eyes widened as his mouth opened so wide an egg could easily fit inside.
He watched the headless body and its head in each of Vivian's hands.
She had decapitated them effortlessly.
Amu gulped and realized he was the fool.
She truly wanted him to survive...or else, with just this level of strength, even if he joined the men, making it nine against one, they would all still lose terribly.
"I'm sorry, but you heard her," Amu flashed a smile he didn't think was scary as he looked at the fear-stricken four men who slowly backed away.
"Alas, it is too late to retreat now," Amu muttered as he moved.
His body turned into a blur as he appeared between the four men.
He stretched out his arm, grabbing the first by the head and dragging him closer.
In an instant, with the distance shortened, his knee shot upward—
Dom.
A dull, crushing sound rang out as blood burst forth like a fountain. The man's nose shattered, and one of his eye sockets caved in as blood flooded his vision.
Seeing this, the remaining three men snapped back to reality.
If they couldn't escape… then they would fight.
The three charged at Amu.
Behind them, Vivian grinned as she watched the battle unfold.
"What a good servant…"
