"Tch… heheheh…"

Void watched with amusement as he observed Mark's battle with the Quasi Rank 4 angel.

It was exhilarating, the feeling that he only needed a single move to kill a being at the same realm as himself.

Was this the true potential of a primordial demon?

Was this the essence of being a demon?

Was this why angels always sought to oppose them?

Demons were not just beings of chaos.

Void was beginning to see it clearly—

Demons were chaos itself.

Boom.

The Quasi Rank 4 angel frowned as he clashed with Mark once more.

The fifth layer of space stretched violently as ruins trembled and disintegrated instantly.

Something felt off.

The angel's output was the same, yet the damage he inflicted on Mark seemed to be decreasing.

"Hmm…"

The angel tightened his grip on the hilt of his sword and took a deep breath.

"Demon… you are getting stronger," the Quasi Rank 4 angel muttered.

"I am," Mark replied calmly.

But it was more than that.

He was adapting—fully synchronizing with this new body.

And he was beginning to understand.

There were three reasons why Void had sent him to fight this angel.

First, he was available. It would be beneath their master to deal with a mere Quasi Rank 4 angel.

Second, Void wanted him to temper his body. This new primordial demon hybrid form was a massive upgrade, and he needed a worthy opponent to stabilize it.

Lastly

Void was showing him the kind of battle he would soon face.

"I suppose I should get serious then," the angel muttered.

His seven wings spread wide, as though they could cover existence itself.

His aura surged once more, causing the fifth layer of space to tremble violently.

His eyes burned with divine light

And space froze solid.

Click.

Mark shattered the frozen space easily—

But he was too late.

A blade was already inches from his eye.

"Argh!"

The angel's sword pierced into Mark's eye.

Mark groaned

But it wasn't over.

Instantly, he swiped upward, tearing space apart.

Slash

Golden blood spilled as both figures separated.

They stood still for a moment, staring at each other.

"AHH!"

The angel twisted his blade as he pulled it free.

Mark's back arched

And the angel followed with a kick.

Boom!

Shockwaves spread as the surrounding ruins were obliterated.

Mark felt his internal organs rupture as he was sent flying backward.

But it wasn't over.

Mark clenched his teeth and groaned

Wrohh

Space rippled like water as he moved again.

His tails lashed out like heavy chains, striking the angel repeatedly and drawing blood.

The angel remained calm as he activated his origin

But instantly, he felt it tremble.

Unstable.

Mark's origin was chaos.

Its ability was simple

It destabilized everything.

It disrupted all other origins.

The angel's eyes widened.

Mark surged forward.

His massive body slammed into the angel, forcing it to bend under the impact.

Then

Mark reached out and grabbed the angel's head.

BAM!

His forehead slammed into the angel's face as golden blood splattered.

Seeing that blood…

Something primal awakened within Mark.

A grin spread across his face.

Bam!

Bam!

Bam!

He smashed his head into the angel repeatedly, his grin widening each time.

"Enough!" the angel roared, his lips stained with blood.

With a wave of his hand, a violent gust erupted

Mark was flung backward.

"You primal beast…" the angel muttered, touching his bloodied face.

Seeing the golden blood on his hands only fueled his rage.

"You demons are no different from beasts. I'm tired of fighting your kind…"

"It's fine," Mark grinned, launching forward again.

"I'll help you."

"I'll end your suffering… by killing you."

"Tch…"

---

"Hmm… the battle is reaching its climax," Void muttered, tapping his leg.

The portal to the fifth layer of space had been stabilized, allowing him to watch the battle clearly.

He enjoyed it, the raw brutality.

But more importantly, he was observing.

Learning how Quasi Rank 4 angels fought… at least the ordinary ones.

As the battle continued, Void slowly grew bored.

He had already realized something

He was far stronger than ordinary angels at the same realm.

That primordial demon body he had awakened…

It was a cheat.

It enhanced his physical abilities continuously even without combat.

And more importantly

If he returned to the demon vs angel war…

Even at Rank 4

Very few would be able to match him.

His breakthrough…

Void's thoughts deepened.

He had been preparing for it for a long time.

He had gathered Quasi Rank 4 souls.

He had an entire multi-universe to devour.

And…

There was a Rank 4 power he intended to reclaim.

Or steal.

Either way

If Void said it was his…

Then it was his.

"Oh, Shen Ye… how will you feel when you realize you've always been in the palm of my hand?" Void muttered, a grin forming as his crimson-red eyes darkened.

*******

Far away from the Dreadborne multi-universe…

Deep within the dark realm

"Just a bit more… and I will find you."

"Void…"

Shen Ye muttered as he floated in space.

Orbs and tendrils of darkness surrounded him, swirling endlessly as his devouring power continued to grow.

Across from him stood a being cloaked in shadows.

The figure merely smiled before turning away.

"It is time we depart, old friend," Cukip said.

Also known on the Hans leaderboard as the Supremacy Angel, he grinned as he shot forward and left the place.

He was once the being who went to that pig planet and slaughtered the creature that disrespected the Top Ten.

Now, he had evolved, from an ordinary angel into a Dark God.

He had also broken away from the Hans. He was no longer on the leaderboard and had nothing to do with humans anymore.

And now, once again, he was breaking free, this time from Shen Ye.

After all, he had only allied with Shen Ye because they shared a common enemy: Void.

But over the years, as he rose to godhood and conquered countless souls, that hatred had faded.

Void had never truly done much to him. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦

Now, the only thing on his mind was ascension

Rising from a mere god to a God King.

Rank 4.

That was his goal.

And if he ever crossed paths with Void again…

As long as Void was reasonable, he wouldn't interfere.

But if Void wasn't…

Then Cukip wouldn't hesitate to end him.

Shiaaaa

Space trembled as a rift tore open before him.

It was a path leading beyond this realm.

Without hesitation, Cukip stepped through

Leaving it all behind as he set out to pursue his ambition.
