Abyssal Sovereign: The Demon's Dominion
Chapter 411 - 410: The Illusion of Strength
"Has it started?" an excited male voice was heard across the room as everyone else frowned.
Linkir sighed as she rolled her eyes.
Her legs crossed over each other as she and the remaining slaves sat across the couch, looking expressionless at the rushing Nephem.
He still had those dark shaded glasses on his eyes and, better yet, popcorn in his hand.
Seeing him seated, Linkir finally spoke up.
"Alright, with the collapse of this multi-universe having started, Alayot and I have been working on something..." Linkir began as a huge screen appeared in front of them.
The room was brightly lit as the screen came to life, and different sections of it showed different beings.
Some were still dull and dark, but a few were lit up.
"This screen shows the so-called chosen ones that will rise in this dark age. Each is going to reach the top or die trying. With the combination of soul and reality manipulation, we brought this as a form of entertainment..."
Linkir paused as she saw smiles fill the rest of Dreadborne's faces.
Demons were really wild creatures.
"Also, we can change their fate at any point. Choose our champions and play with anyone. In the end, only one of them will survive to the main stage," Linkir said with a chuckle as the rest of Dreadborne's eyes gleamed.
"Without further ado, let's have some fun," Linkir muttered as everyone chuckled.
"Yes, Commander."

At the fifth layer of space
Booom...
Mark and the Quasi Rank 4 angel flew several mythological units away.
Now they were in the fifth layer of space, and they were in their full forms.
This was the first mission given to Mark by Void, and he planned to take it seriously.
Across from him, the angel had a frown on his face. He could feel a familiar bloodline between himself and the being fighting him, yet...
"Are you a member of the Divine Race?" Suddenly, Mark heard the angel's words as his eyes narrowed.
He was a hybrid of some sort, possessing both divine and chaotic bloodlines, and this angel seemed to have picked it up.
"Yes, I am... in a way," Mark replied. After all, his divine blood had evolved into the bloodline of a god, making him one. So he could be counted as a god.
"You—"
The angel's aura spiked as he burst into fury.
"A god like you has fallen so low... how dare you worship a demon as your master... especially that one!" the angel argued, his voice rising as his eyes blazed with unrestrained fury.
Hearing the angel's words made Mark bewildered. Really, because he was a god, he couldn't serve a stronger being?
When did having a master imply or question whether he was a demon or not?
"Can't demons have slaves?" Mark questioned, feeling doubtful.
"Can..."
"So what is the problem?"
"You... you really don't know?"
"Heh, beats me."
"You insolent being! You are a member of the God race, one of the leaders of the Divine Race, yet you worship a demon. You allowed your holy bloodline to be tainted by such a dirty creature. You have fallen into madness!" the angel shouted as his aura bloomed and space quaked.
His divine glow increased as Mark finally realized what the problem was.
Having been forever stuck in the Hans multi-universe, it seemed like he had been in a cage and didn't know of the outside world.
In the Hans multi-universe, there was nothing like gods and demons not being together—but now, it seemed being Void's slave had exposed him to more.
"Regardless, the fact is... I am an Aeron, not a god. I worship that demon as my master, and his orders are to purge you," Mark spoke slowly as his body morphed even more.
His human face was gone as a wolf-like snout sprouted, a mix of purple and black scales filled his body.
Multiple wolf-like tails appeared at his back.
Sharp claws appeared as Mark crouched in a ready-to-pounce position.
"You will be destroyed," Mark growled as he moved.
Instantly, space seemed to shorten as he approached. His claws slashed out as they ripped through time.
Instantly, the angel crossed his sword as the claws clashed with it.
Ding...
A dull metallic sound echoed as the two moved back.
"You are not worthy to bear the god bloodline."
"Die."
The angel said as he raised his sword.
Just then...
Slash...
Five claw marks appeared across the angel's chest as his eyes widened in horror.
"Impossible..." the angel muttered as his blood flowed outward.
Doom...
Black chaotic energy ravaged the angel's body as it spasmed.
Across from him, Mark licked his jaws as he looked at the angel like prey.
"My first kill for my master..."
Mark muttered as he moved.
"Damn you, beast!" the angel saw from the corner of his eyes Mark's afterimage as he also moved, turning into light instantly.
Pahhh...
The two clashed, and this time the angel's attack was successful, only—
"You..."
The angel moved back in shock.
Only a white mark was seen across Mark's head.
"Try harder... this skull isn't that tough, you know," Mark taunted as the angel was triggered.
Terrifying origin energy was released as Mark felt himself fall into an ice vault.
Instantly, his whole body seemed to freeze as a terrifying attack enlarged across his vision.
"Ten Pufatl Divine Light of Purgatory..."
The angel said as a huge divine sword appeared, spanning across realities.
From planets to universes, every powerhouse gulped as they saw a terrifying white divine sword with no end in sight.
As for Mark... he felt his heart tug as his body was frozen in place.
He felt his ability to reason slowing down as the sword came down.
Booooom...
The sword struck, and light enveloped the fifth layer of space. Ruins of various kinds and forms could be seen, along with something far more terrifying—the bodies of dead experts drifting aimlessly.
The energy released was so great that it tore open the fabric of space all the way to the first layer, causing entire universes to cease to exist.
A large chasm, filled with the terrifying origin of space, prevented the tear from closing, as crimson blood floated all around the angel.
He wore a repulsed expression, fighting the urge to vomit as he waved his hand, instantly evaporating the blood.
"Cough... cough..."
Mark had a trace of horror in his eyes as he looked at his remaining torso.
His body trembled as realization struck him.
He had been stuck far too long in the Hans multi-universe, to the point that he believed himself almost invincible within the same realm.
Only Void had seemed stronger than him back then, and he had believed it was due to Void's terrifying bloodline.
But now, he realized he was not only lacking in experience, but also in knowledge.
He had been too limited before—and now, he was being exposed to an entirely new world.
All of this happened within a few moments as his body restored itself, returning to its original state—just like the angel.
Bang...
The two moved again as they resumed their battle.
But this time—
Mark was far more cautious.
