A terrifying cohesion spread outward as the sky cracked, heralding the descent of a being that

they couldn't fully comprehend.

The sharp-browed man was the first to bear the brunt, struggling to stay airborne.

His gaze deepened as he studied the new being that had appeared.

The being gave him a glance, then looked down at the vast army of humans below.

"Interesting," it said—a subtle voice, yet it traveled to every corner of the planet.

The being seemed more amused than threatened that a group of mere mortals dared stand in its way. Truly, it was commendable.

"The will of humanity is still strong. I am impressed," the being added, descending slowly.

Shortly after, it spoke again.

"For that, I will give you a chance to struggle," it said, landing a few hundred meters away.

The general, though his body shook, steeled his will. He spoke:

"Attack!"

Terrifying rays traveled at the speed of light, striking the being instantly. But that wasn't all—guns fired, bows loosed arrows, and spears flew.

Whether hot or cold weapons, humans brought everything to bear in their last stand.

For a few minutes, the attacks rained down relentlessly, dust clouding the battlefield.

Finally, the general gave the order to cease.

At that moment, the warship fleet arrived. Each vessel like a behemoth in the sky, casting shadows for thousands of meters as they streaked toward the being—though they had yet to fire.

"Let's make this fun, shall we?" the being smirked, holding out its palm as the dust settled.

All eyes were fixed on a long blade that appeared.

It radiated no aura, more like an ordinary piece of iron—unremarkable unless observed closely.

With this blade, the forefather walked forward toward the massive army.

For a moment, everyone froze.

Their attacks—even without bombs—could shred normal humans instantly, and planetary-level experts would take at least a scratch.

Yet this being remained entirely unscathed.

Even its clothes were untouched.

Was this the gap between them and the forefathers?

"Attack! Attack him! Charge forward!" the general shouted, snapping the others back to action.

They gritted their teeth, fear in their eyes, but determination stronger.

Quitting now meant death anyway, so why not at least try to fight?

Even if it was a losing battle.

Boom.

The two sides collided. The forefather sliced through the army with terrifying ease.

The blade was like a reaper's scythe, harvesting life after life.

Battle suits, armor—none mattered. Soldier and weapon alike were cut through in a single, smooth strike.

No second chances. Bodies fell to the left and right.

Above, the sharp-browed man watched in shock as a massive gap opened in the army.

Yet, despite their comrades fallen, their friends killed, their allies sliced apart, they still rushed forward.

Maybe their sheer numbers could wear him down.

Maybe one attack would land.

Maybe… somehow, they would find a weakness.

But alas, man wishes; gods dispose.

Their efforts were futile. With each kill, each blood splattered on his clothes, on his face—the forefather's smile grew wider.

Thousands had died. To the millions, it was a fraction—but it happened within seconds.

It was terrifying. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

The sharp-browed man watched as mortals, millions strong like ants, attacked a god-like being.

The battlefield became an aura of death. Blood flowed like a river, thick and crimson, warning the living. The ground was soaked until it ran red.

This was just the beginning; the dying continued.

A few minutes in, their numbers had drastically reduced.

The general's mind brimmed with unwillingness, yet it was never meant to be easy after all, they were battling a god-like being.

Warships hovered. Bombs were armed. All that was needed was a command.

At first, they had thought the forefather would appear in the sky, allowing them to bomb him directly. But he descended into the army, engaging in close combat. All their plans were disrupted—they couldn't just release bombs without risking their own soldiers.

"Release it!" a distinct male voice roared from the base, shocking everyone.

It was the general.

"General, but—"

"I said release it, goddammit! We're all going to die anyway, but at least let's see if we can die alongside him!" His voice silenced all objections.

This… this was the sacrifice they were willing to make for their people. Some wept, tears streaming down their faces.

"Yes, General," a trembling voice replied.

He raised his shaking hand over the bright red button and gulped.

Was he about to kill millions?

"Argh… for the people… for humanity… for Mom… for Dad… for my siblings…"

Countless voices rang out, united in despair.

They could hear the cries of their comrades from the call with the general

as the man gritted his teeth.

His comrades had already decided to die alongside side the fore father, it was time for him to make the important decision.

He couldn't

make their sacrifices go to waste and with that his hand descended

as he pressed the button

then red lights flashed everywhere.

FWOOSH…

CRRRRRAAAK…

ROOOOMMMM…

THHHHHHHHHHH…

WHOOOOSH…

Bombs tore across the planet, each streaking toward the forefather. Warships didn't dodge, hoping the combined explosions would be enough to wound or even kill the being.

They fired missiles, beams, and every weapon at their disposal.

For a brief moment, the sun disappeared behind the chaos of war.

The forefather briefly paused, glancing at the darkened sky.

A smirk curved his lips as he surveyed the humans around him. They bore fearless expressions.

They dropped their weapons and charged toward him like mindless beasts, arms outstretched, eager to touch him.

Once they made contact, their hands gripped him tightly, ensuring he couldn't escape—though escaping wasn't part of his plan anyway.

Thousands of hands reached out to hold him in place as the bombs began to fall.

Far above, the sharp-browed man accelerated, leaving the planet behind.

His back was slick with sweat.

Even a planetary-realm expert like him wouldn't survive this onslaught. From space, he could see the immense number of bombs scattered across the continent, and he felt his skin crawl.

But a more terrifying question lingered in his mind:

Would the forefather survive?
