Bai Ruozhu felt even stranger. Not to say she fully understood the Second Prince’s nature, but his temper change was too rapid, wasn’t it?

Jiang Yichun, seeing her gaze, guessed a bit and felt even more disdain for the Second Prince. He even thought that he shouldn’t have saved this kind of person back then.

"This is a wound medicine, you take it and use it." Bai Ruozhu handed a small porcelain bottle to the servant.

The servant was stunned for a moment, then gratitude appeared in his eyes, "Thank you, Lord Bai, thank you, Lord Jiang."

This servant was clever. If he weren’t clever, he might only have thanked Bai Ruozhu and not mentioned Jiang Yichun.

Generally, smart servants in the Palace tend to live better lives and are less punished. But this clever servant suffered quite a few wounds, which was really odd.

The servant, along with Bai Ruozhu and Jiang Yichun, entered the Main Hall. They saw the Second Prince sitting to the side drinking tea, or rather, sitting at the tea table staring at tea, mostly daydreaming.

"Greetings to Your Highness. I wonder what matters Your Highness has for me?" Bai Ruozhu saluted and asked, while Jiang Yichun casually made a gesture, which could be considered a brief salute.

The Second Prince seemed startled by the sudden voice, his body shivering before he abruptly looked up and glared at Bai Ruozhu.

"Why so loud? I’m not deaf!" His voice made Bai Ruozhu’s face turn cold. The voice was arrogant, displeased, even murderous. Was the Second Prince asking to be taken down?

Before Bai Ruozhu could speak, Jiang Yichun coldly said, "My wife didn’t speak loudly. Unless Your Highness is guilty of something, which explains the fright?"

"How dare you!" The Second Prince suddenly roared, "Who gave you the courage to speak to me like this?"

Jiang Yichun narrowed his eyes, already showing killing intent, "Don’t think that just because you’re a prince, I won’t dare to deal with you!"

"Someone, drag him out and give him twenty lashes!" The Second Prince suddenly yelled, his voice hysterical.

The servants below entered nervously. Seeing it was Jiang Yichun, they stammered, "Y-Y-Your Highness, Lord Jiang is an envoy and cannot be beaten."

"Nonsense! I tell you to beat him, you beat him. I’ll take responsibility!" The Second Prince yelled again.

Jiang Yichun was furious, thinking that he would beat the prince until he lost his teeth. Unexpectedly, Bai Ruozhu held him back and whispered, "There’s something wrong with him."

"Fake?" Jiang Yichun frowned.

"No, there’s something off about him. Could he be controlled by Song Yi?" Bai Ruozhu wondered. If what was said during Wu Yunfeng’s interrogation was true, and even Empress Yazi was controlled, then the Second Prince being controlled wasn’t impossible.

But how to prove it now?

Bai Ruozhu thought for a moment, then suddenly acted. She rushed over and hit the Second Prince’s acupoint. The Second Prince was glaring, about to get angry, and suddenly fell unconscious.

The nearby servant was almost scared into shouting, while Jiang Yichun reacted quickly, hitting his acupoints to put him to sleep.

"Watch and don’t let anyone in, I’ll try using Furball." Bai Ruozhu said.

"Alright, be quick." Jiang Yichun replied.

Bai Ruozhu immediately called Furball out, telling it her intentions. Furball adorably flew to the Second Prince’s head, lying on his brow for a long time.

"Indeed, he was controlled by a poisonous insect." Bai Ruozhu whispered, "But Furball says it can’t remove the insect. It can’t just dive into the Second Prince to devour the insect; he’d turn into a fool."

Jiang Yichun rolled his eyes, "Let him be a fool then; he wasn’t very smart anyway."

Bai Ruozhu couldn’t help but laugh out loud, exposing the sharp-tongued nature of this guy again.

But they couldn’t really make him a fool. She thought for a moment and said, "The Golden Body can force out the insect, but the Golden Body must not be revealed. So I’ll take him into Space for a moment."

Jiang Yichun was very displeased, feeling that it was his and Bai Ruozhu’s secret base. Why let this guy in?

"Alright, he’s unconscious and won’t know anything. Healing him might reveal clues about Song Yi." Bai Ruozhu said.

"Fine, be quick." Jiang Yichun grumbled a couple of times.

Bai Ruozhu then grabbed the Second Prince by the collar, lifting him like a piece of trash. With a thought, they entered Space. Jiang Yichun felt slightly better seeing her rough manner.

With the Golden Body revealed, the poisonous insect inside the Second Prince was forced out. Furball joyousl flew over and devoured the insect, telling Bai Ruozhu to bring more so it could increase its power again.

Bai Ruozhu pondered that several people in the Palace might be affected and these insects were the best snacks for Furball.

She then lifted the Second Prince out of Space and tossed him back onto the chair.

"Is it done?" Jiang Yichun asked.

Bai Ruozhu nodded, "You go unlock his acupoint."

She implied she didn’t want to touch the Second Prince, which pleased the jealous Lord Jiang greatly, making him smile as he went to unlock the acupoint.

The Second Prince slowly opened his eyes and shouted upon seeing them, "Lord Bai, help me! My mother consort wants to harm me!"

He looked highly panicked, "I must tell you quickly, or I don’t know how long I’ll stay awake. My mother consort gave me something strange to drink. It wasn’t poison, but I felt out of control. I wasn’t myself!"

Bai Ruozhu glanced at Jiang Yichun with surprise, "He actually knew he was harmed. Others probably wouldn’t realize it."

"You already knew?" The Second Prince asked in surprise.

"Don’t be afraid; the poisonous insect in your body is dead." Jiang Yichun said, rolling his eyes, "You probably don’t remember, but moments ago you ordered someone to give me twenty lashes."

The Second Prince showed an embarrassed expression, "Lord Jiang, I’m truly sorry. I don’t remember that. It wasn’t my intention. I was actually controlled by a poisonous insect?"

"Not just you, but your mother consort was controlled too." Bai Ruozhu said, "When I mentioned it to the Emperor last time, she appeared coincidentally, troubling and humiliating me, just to anger me into not caring about the Imperial Palace’s matters. Thinking back, her actions were likely arranged by whoever was controlling her with the poisonous insect."

The Second Prince grew anxious, "I didn’t think much before. She said you used a demonic method to scare her and pretended to be mad with fright repeatedly, which made me very angry and lowered my guard, but in the end..."
