A Dragon against the Whole World
Chapter 343 - 292: Galos: Father? I’ve Come to Kill You!
"He is an adult Red Dragon, his true name is Gorsas."
Alberto’s expression was solemn as if facing a formidable enemy, with eyes flickering with dread at that infamous name.
"The specific level of life is yet fully determined, most likely level 19."
"His most famous achievement in the wilderness was successfully breaking through and escaping from a large-scale hunting organized by the Federation."
"His temperament is extremely cruel and violent, considered the purest among the Red Dragon Race, the ultimate example of a dragon’s evil nature."
Upon saying this, he paused slightly, taking a careful look at Galos.
"Why ask about him suddenly?"
Alberto’s voice carried obvious puzzlement: "Did you have contact with Gorsas or have you heard of his notorious reputation in advance?"
Galos’s face armor was rigid and heavy, showing no obvious emotional fluctuations.
He replied, "Just curious because of the similar bloodline."
Alberto did not notice the subtle complexity hidden in the Red Iron Dragon’s words.
He nodded in realization, his tone tinged with a bit of contemplation: "I see, your demeanor is so calm and substantial, I almost forgot that half of the hot, restless blood of the Red Dragon flows within you."
"From you, I can hardly feel the violent and maddened elements that belong to the Red Dragon."
He pursued, "Is it that the Evil Dragon Blood has no impact on your will, or because of your mixed blood, the other half of the Iron Dragon Bloodline is stronger, thus suppressing and neutralizing the chaotic nature from the Red Dragon?"
Galos’ expression remained unchanged as he said, "Harnessing power with reason is one of my firm beliefs."
Then.
He curbed his emotions and refocused on the present business, continuing to exchange information with Golden Dragon Alberto about other equally important turbulent trends in Sel Wilderness.
Apart from the insane Red Dragon who casts a shadow of misfortune.
Alberto mentioned a sizable Blue Dragon Group, which likewise heightened Galos’s vigilance.
He had once conversed with those young dragons who fled from afar and knew they had defected from a strictly hierarchical Blue Dragon community.
Moreover.
The community they despised and resisted was nestled in the Boiling Sea west of Sel Wilderness.
"Blue Dragon Group, huh." Alberto pondered, "I heard they are referred to as—Dominic Family."
Upon hearing Alberto clearly articulate this name, Galos’s heart skipped a beat.
Exactly what he had feared would happen.
The Dominic Family was precisely the family from which Blue Dragon Heryam and others had defected.
If this Blue Dragon Family currently expanding its influence in the wilderness got wind of the Ignas Dragon Group harboring fugitives from their community.
A fierce conflict between the parties would be inevitable.
However, Galos swiftly suppressed this concern.
This was not something requiring immediate attention.
He cast a scrutinizing glance at Alberto and inquired, "Alberto, where did you get all this information about Gorsas, the Dominic Family, and the changing dynamics in the wilderness?"
Alberto proudly raised his head, his broad chest straightened in front of the Red Iron Dragon.
"Galos, do you think my shimmering Golden Scales are merely for show? The vastness of my networks far exceeds what any Evil Dragon could comprehend."
Finally finding a field where he could puff up and display his advantage before Galos.
Alberto felt a long-lost pride and ease belonging to a Golden Dragon.
He continued, his tone carrying shades of reminiscence, saying, "Here’s the most direct example."
"My biological parents once believed my thoughts were too unorthodox, incompatible with the traditional path of the Golden Dragons."
"To guide me towards what they perceived as the right path, exposing me to orthodox values and society, they enrolled me in the Royal Noble Academy of the prosperous Ripos Kingdom during my early dragon years."
"There, I met many open-minded and knowledgeable human friends, including some princes and notable heirs. Encouraged and supported by them, I firmly decided upon the different path of my choosing!"
Galos found himself momentarily speechless.
This experience was beyond what he could have imagined.
Yet, were he in place of Alberto’s traditional Golden Dragon parents, he might indeed find handling such a rebellious offspring quite troublesome and vexing.
After conversing a bit more about other potential threats and opportunities in the wilderness, Alberto slowly regulated his breath, which was somewhat rushed due to high-intensity exercise.
His expression turned serious, and he solemnly addressed the Red Iron Dragon:
"Galos, my territory in the wilderness has begun to take shape and will grow ever stronger. You need to seize the time as well. I look forward to the day we can stand side by side on this vast wilderness!"
With these words spoken, no further hesitation.
Golden Dragon Alberto flared his wings, speeding toward the sky, gradually merging into the heavy canopy, until disappearing completely, leaving only the lingering disturbance in the air.
Galos silently gazed in the direction where the Golden Dragon vanished and took a deep breath.
The breath of the wilderness evening bore the characteristic cold of metal and the scent of dust as it filled his lungs.
He suddenly felt a slight itch under the dragon scale, turning to examine his scale armor coated with thick metallic sheen, and mused inwardly: It’s time for the Snake-man Sword Saint to properly polish them.
