Chapter 76: Taking care of the loot (Part - 2)

Gu Fan tucked a stray lock of hair behind her ear, leaving her to bask in the afterglow.

He walked back to the velvet chair and sat down, his cock covered in her sweet juices.

After a round of sex, it was time to get back to the business.

So he turned his attention back to the glowing blue screen.

[Artifacts & Consumables Sorted...]

[King-Tier ’Blood-Drinker’ Spirit Sword]

[Earth-Tier ’Skull-Crusher’ Meteor Hammer]

[King-Tier ’Phantom Veil Cloak’]

[Earth-Tier ’Tortoise-Shell Lust Array’ x1]

[Spirit-Tier ’Demon-Ape Lust Powder’ x50 Vials]

[Large Gourd of ’Heavenly Bliss’ Aphrodisiac]

[Spirit-Tier ’Tears of the Jade Mermaid’ (Meridian Repair)]

And the list would go on...

"I can’t keep all these things," Gu Fan muttered, running his hand through his hair, "All these beast cores, potions, herbs and artefacts, I can’t possibly use them all."

"If anyone get to know about this, or if Gu Yangtian knew about his abundant stock, he will not doubt confiscate everything for the ’good of the family’."

It was time for him to get out of the clan and launder this wealth as soon as possible.

’The Heavenly Treasure Pavilion,’ Gu Fan thought to himself, ’Or the Blood Iron Mercenary Guild.’

’I will sneak out of the clan tomorrow using the Phantom Veil Cloak.’

’The guilds won’t be too nosy if you have enough goods.’

’I can then buy something that might come out handy when I meet someone strong. If I am alive, I can always bounce back.’

’I already have Origin Realm people with their eyes on my back.’

’I won’t be lucky enough to be reincarnated again in some novel I wrote.’

With that, he swiped away the inventory screen and opened his status panel.

He looked at the invisible, golden parasitic tethers extending from his chest.

The first thread was thin and barely glowing.

That was Xiao Mei, the servant girl. She was useless now. He barely got a trickle of vitality from her anymore. She was completely irrelevant.

The second thread was thick, burning with a bright, intense gold light, connected directly to the woman currently lying naked on the bed. It was Madam Li.

The third thread was just as thick and bright, stretching far off into the distance toward the Bai Clan estate. It was his newly found "love" Bai Bing.

Then, he looked at the fourth thread.

It was a steady, glowing line, stretching in the direction of the inner courtyard of the Gu Clan. It was just passively siphoning pure, icy Qi into his dantian.

Gu Ling!

Gu Fan leaned back in his chair, staring at the ceiling. He thought about Gu Ling for a moment.

When he sat in his crappy apartment on Earth, typing away at his keyboard, he had written Gu Ling to be the ultimate Jade Beauty.

He spent hours and days thinking and describing her flawless porcelain skin, her breathtaking icy demeanor, her pure Frost Veins.

He made her out to be a goddess among mortals worthy of the Sovereign Gu Chen.

But now that he was actually living in this world? When he finally saw her.

Gu Fan scoffed out loud.

"Honestly? She is boring," Gu Fan muttered, "Not my type."

Madam Li pushed herself up from the bed wiping the sweat from her forehead, "Who is boring, Gu Fan?"

"Gu Ling," Gu Fan said bluntly, "I look at her, and I feel absolutely nothing."

"No butterflies. No spark. In fact, she kind of annoys me."

"She walks around with that arrogant, emotionless face, looking down on everyone like she’s better than them."

Gu Fan smirked, shaking his head, "And honestly, she is completely flat-chested. It’s like looking at a wooden board."

He reached out his hand, and Madam Li happily walked over, sitting sideways on his lap.

He wrapped his arms around her, gently squeezing her massive, soft breasts.

"I prefer a mature, beautiful woman with actual curves. Someone who actually knows how to ride a cock and love her man properly."

Madam Li smiled proudly, her heart fluttering as she pushed her heavy chest eagerly into his hands, completely reassured by his affectionate words.

But despite that, she looked at him annoyed, "So me and that Bai Clan girl aren’t enough for you?"

"You are still thinking about someone else?"

"You don’t have to worry about her," Gu Fan smiled, kissing his mother on the lips, "I have no feelings for her."

But despite his total lack of romantic interest in Gu Ling, Gu Fan knew exactly what he had to do next.

He knew Gu Chen. He had created Gu Chen.

Gu Chen was most probably sitting in his room, humiliated, defeated, and very much filled with rage, eyeing for his revenge.

Gu Chen’s massive protagonist ego was shattered in front of everyone and a cornered protagonist is a dangerous animal.

Gu Fan had a hunch what Gu Chen would do next.

Gu Chen would try to use Gu Ling. She had a splendid potential and with Gu Chen’s protagonist plot armour, she was going to flourish even more.

So it made sense that he would pursue Gu Ling on her own. But thanks to Gu Fan ruining his opportunities to save here, this option had limited scope.

So the next option was to force a political marriage and utilise her Frost Veins to cure stabilise and breakthrough to the Origin Realm.

’Gu Fan will sooner or later ask Gu Yangtian to arrange that marriage,’ Gu Fan thought to himself.

’Should I let it happen?’ Gu Fan thought to himself as a vial of concentrated ’Demon-Ape Lust Powder’ appeared between his fingers, ’Or should I make things difficult for my dear son?’

Gu Fan didn’t love Gu Ling, and he didn’t even particularly want her body.

Whatever he decided, Gu Fan had to think fast, but one thing was sure... Precaution is better than cure.

Gu Fan stood up from the velvet chair, gently lifting Madam Li into his arms, his mind shifting away from Gu Ling for the moment. The more pressing issue was his massive pile of loot.

"Mother, do you happen to know anyone in the two major guilds in Poison Valley Town?" Gu Fan asked casually.

Madam Li looked up, tilting her head in surprise. "The Heavenly Treasure Pavilion and the Blood Iron Mercenary Guild? Yes, I have some connections. Why do you ask?"

"Nothing much," Gu Fan smirked, adjusting the collar of his shirt. "I just want to check them out."

"I can introduce you to someone in both guilds," Madam Li offered smoothly, "It is no big deal for the Matriarch of the Gu Clan."

"Perfect," Gu Fan said, patting her cheek, "Tomorrow, I’ll go out into town to have a look."
