The Wedding Day…

The most-awaited union between Jane and Nathan was set to take place today. As agreed by both families, the wedding ceremony would be held in the Beach Resort.

Nathan chose the beach wedding theme. Only a selected few were invited– close family members and friends. But there was a separate celebration with the members of the Syphiruz Mafia and the Sawada Clan.

This was a private ceremony. No media company or reporters were invited.

The guests were wearing non-formal attire. The men wore white and light blue button-down shirts and linen trousers, while the women wore maxi and bohemian dresses.

The altar was set at the center, where everyone could have a better view of the ocean. The sea breeze lifted the white linen arch decor while the waves rolled slowly against the shore, giving a peaceful and relaxing vibe.

Ethan, the ring bearer, and Mia, the flower girl, blessed the venue with their charming presence. Abigail, the maid of honor, assisted Jane as she stepped out of the bridal car.

On the other hand, Dave, the best man, accompanied Nathan to the altar, waiting for his bride.

It didn't take long before the music started to play. Everyone became silent as they turned their heads in the direction of the bride.

At the edge of the beach path, Jane, in her simple white dress, appeared. Her father, Mr. Hiroshi, was standing next to her.

Everyone gasped in admiration upon seeing her ethereal beauty. The hem of her dress brushed the sand as she started to walk down the aisle. As the sunlight caught the beads of her dress, they started sparkling like stars in the sky.

Her veil lifted, swaying with the movement of the wind as though the ocean itself were welcoming her forward.

Nathan's heart skipped a beat the moment he met Jane's eyes, her charming smile shining brighter than the sun.

'My beloved is here,' Nathan thought, his lips curling up into a blissful smile. He couldn't take his eyes off her.

Nathan almost forgot to breathe. He felt like time had slowed down.

"Congrats, brother-in-law. You are finally tying the knot with your beloved woman," Dave whispered.

But Nathan was no longer paying attention to him. All his attention was focused only on his beautiful bride.

Walking toward him, Nathan could see that Jane's eyes were fixed on his as the rest of the world had already fallen away.

By the time she reached the aisle's end, Nathan immediately held her hand while staring at her affectionately.

"Take care of my daughter," Mr. Hiroshi said, tapping Nathan's shoulder.

Nathan bobbed his head and replied, "Yes. Dad. I promise."

Jane kissed her father's cheek before Nathan escorted her to the altar, their hands intertwining together.

"I've been waiting for this moment, Jane…" Nathan murmured, his smile never leaving his face.

Jane nodded, her eyes shining yet tears swelling up in the corners.

"Thank you, Nate… for making me the happiest bride on earth."

As the bride and groom performed the wedding ceremony, their loved ones couldn't help but rejoice for them, wishing for their happiness.

At the back, Vincent was secretly watching them. This time, there was no bitterness in his heart. He was about to leave, but Mia had noticed his presence, so she immediately approached her father.

"Aren't you going to finish the wedding, Dad?" Mia asked him.

Vincent crouched down and grabbed her shoulders. "Alright. I'll stay."

"Thanks, Dad."

On the other side, Stephen and Aiden were also talking about the couple.

"Watching them… I feel like my heart is going to burst from too much happiness. Our best friend had gone through a lot. He was deceived by another woman. Fortunately, he was given another chance to be reunited with Jane, the woman whom he truly loved." Aiden shared his thoughts with Stephen.

Stephen bobbed his head. "They are fated to be together."

Aiden looked at him with mixed feelings. "Steph, I know you had fallen for Jane. I'm glad that your friendship with Nathan stayed stronger even though you both loved the same woman."

Stephen let out a soft chuckle. "Jane is an amazing woman. Even if I didn't end up with her, I am already grateful that I became part of her life. In her vulnerable moment, I was there… helping her. That is enough for me. I only wish for her happiness. And Nathan is definitely the source of her happiness. I had no regrets."

Aiden dramatically hugged Stephen. "You should find a woman, Bro! I don't want you to stay single forever."

"Don't worry about me. Just focus on your love life. Make sure that Cherry will stay by your side."

"Of course, she is my Black Rose. I will cherish her. I am planning to propose to her soon."

Stephen could only shake his head helplessly.

Meanwhile, Ethan tugged Tatsumi's hand. "Uncle Tatsumi, are you crying?"

"Yes. Because the woman I love is marrying someone else," he promptly responded, pouting his lips.

"Don't worry, Uncle. I will find you a match. Don't you know that I am good at playing cupid? I was the wingman between my mother and my father."

Tatsumi's eyes widened upon hearing that. "Really?"

"Yes. Uncle. I guarantee a hundred percent successful rate," Ethan said proudly, winking at him.

"Fine." Tatsumi looked around. "Do you think among the ladies here, there is someone suitable for me?"

Ethan scanned their surroundings. After a while, he shook his head.

"No, Uncle. Every beautiful lady here already has a partner."

Tatsumi fell silent, his eyes shifting from one couple after another.

Hanabi and Alexander.

Abigail and Dave.

Cherry and Aiden.

Chantha and Axel.

"Fine. I will wait for my turn," he said, scratching his face.

Soon, they brought their attention back to the bride and groom, who were now exchanging their vows.

Nathan spoke first.

"I used to think I already had everything in life– wealth, power, and a cute son," he said, making everyone laugh when he mentioned Ethan as a cute son. Nathan never spoke something like that before.

"Until I found you. You are the missing piece in my life. Loving you has been the greatest blessing I've received. We had so many misunderstandings at first, and we ended up being enemies." He paused, squeezing her hands tightly.

"I almost lost you. I promise myself that I will never repeat that same mistake. In the past, in the present, and in our future, my heart will always choose you. I will be with you on the easy days, and especially on the hard ones. I'll protect and cherish you. No one will ever separate us ever again. I will build a life with you that feels like home. You will be my home. I love you so much, Jane. My life is all yours…"

Jane blinked fast, a tear slipping free as she laughed softly. Now, it was her turn to make a vow. When she spoke, her voice carried, clear and warm, filled with profound love.

"I promise to love you and stay with you no matter what happens," she said. "I will make sure to cherish and enjoy every moment with you. Even if we encounter some setbacks and difficulties, we will conquer everything together. And if ever the world makes you forget me… even if I have to undergo another 100-day trial just to make you fall for me over and over again, I will do it. Because you are mine, Nate. Always mine."

The crowd burst into cheers and laughter. Jane's promise was very sweet and romantic.

She squeezed his hands and continued. "Despite my shortcomings, I promise to become a good wife and a good mother to our children."

The ocean waves rolled in behind them, and the wind blew like a gentle applause, also celebrating their union.

Soon, the two of them exchanged rings. When the final vow was spoken, Nathan leaned over, planting a soft kiss on Jane's forehead. Their gazes lingered, sharing a quiet smile meant only for each other.

Then the officiant spoke the words as the final step of this wedding ceremony.

"I pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss your bride!"

Nathan gently cupped her face and leaned closer, pressing his lips against hers. When they shared that passionate kiss, the guests rose to their feet, cheering, laughing, and crying with happiness.

The bride and groom held on to each other, kissing each other as if they were lost in their own world. Nathan and Jane were finally married!
